I couldn't have asked for better customer service from this company, I had enquired and had thousands of follow up questions, and all was answered. I had proposed to my now finance on this flight with pilot Ross who flew G-SWNS. Had no problems he was very informative pointing out the famous landmarks and felt comfortable with his flying as it was our first time in a helicopter. I than had the opportunity for Geoff to record and take some lovely pictures for us on my camera which again appreciate alot. Would like to also thank Amanda as she helped me initially with my enquires and was lovely. So thanks EBG Helicopter team.Highly Recommended.

We had such a great time on our helicopter tour around London from our pilot Ross and had such a good service from Geoff and the rest of the team there. Highly recommend to book with them!

Ken Faria runs EBG and has a really great team of instructors. I had the good fortune to begin with Ken during the week and the brilliant Tim Piper at the weekends. They had different and highly complimentary teaching styles.Ken has a huge amount of experience and is great with new students. Tim is also brilliant with his holistic approach to teaching.A few months in to the course, for my own scheduling reasons I had to change to a new instructor called Bob Gorman. If all my school teachers had been as patient, creative, dedicated and supportive as Bob I'd have probably become an academic genius - ok maybe not quite... Anyway I was lucky enough to have Bob as my main instructor.Bob is phenomenal. He briefed and debriefed each lesson thoroughly and tried different ways of helping me grasp different concepts when the first approach didn't stick. He prepared every class thoroughly and specifically for my needs. He also followed up relentlessly with advice, pointers and notes developed over years as a student and instructor. I got the impression he was always thinking about how he could better support his students.Every step of the way I felt that Bob was totally on side. There were points when I felt that Bob was working harder to get me through the course than I was. That imbalance nudged me to get the studying done to do justice to all the time, patience and dedication Bob put in as an instructor.During the pandemic, flying classes where my happy place. Flying became rather like meditation - a time when I had to put all other thoughts to one side and focus exclusively on flying.Learning to fly is an investment and the purpose and objective of every class was clear. There weren't too many classes nor too few. Bob devised a PPL (H) study plan so that I could see what I'd accomplished and what lay ahead. For a few ground school sessions I had to bring my dog and each time Bob greeted him with snacks and had prepared water for him. That's Bob. Exceptionally thoughtful. There was a moment as I approached my exam when, for reasons unrelated to flying, I had a minor meltdown and loss of confidence. Bob was super-supportive, willing to blow off the class or to just go and have a coffee instead. In short, at a time when it might have been easy for me to bail he kept me on track.During the course I bumped in to some of Bob's other students and they were every bit as evangelical about him as me.You might want to know how long it will take you to get your PPL (H). I can't really say. It took me a total of 89 flight hours - the odd month-long break didn't help. Everyone is different. However with EBG, and Bob in particular, you can trust that it will take exactly the time you need.EBG has its own helicopter maintenance team and the Cabri G2 helicopters I flew in were always in impeccable shape. I can't remember any of my classes being affected by technical or helicopter scheduling issues.Lest you think my review is just too enthusiastic and for the sake of credibility are there any downsides to EBG?Maybe two.1. Everyone's different but I might have benefited from a mock before my Radio Telephony exam. As it turns out I passed but it might have been helpful to run through some scenarios in exam-like conditions with a brief, prep time, using the funky radio set-up etc. This might either be a good example of EBG being conservative with student's spend on ground school or perhaps just something most students don't need.2. Sometimes the cappucino runs out in the coffee machine.I passed my skills test back in Feb 2022 thanks in huge part to Bob.As a result of this great learning experience, I'm excited for the rest of the heli journey that lies ahead: flying, different type ratings, and, inspired by a GREAT TEACHER perhaps going commercial and one day teaching others.Learning with EBG was a great experience learning a fascinating new skill and re-learning how to learn. In fact, wish I'd begun this learning journey years ago and I certainly encourage you to.

One of the best places around London to train / do sightseeing.Instructors go above and beyond, aircraft are in a fantastic state, well maintained and taken care of.I keep coming back for renting helis after getting my licence as these are definitely the safest I've seen around London and EBG is amazing.

Cannot recommend EBG enough! Anne-marie (our pilot) was fantastic! Informative throughout, pointed out all the best photo ops (London sightseeing tour) but most importantly for our first time in a helicopter, we felt completely safe as she told us what to expect (although the flight was much smoother than expected!).At the end of the flight I popped the question to my now fiancé and Anne-Marie made sure she could see the marry me banner in the distance (part of a proposal package with Elite Proposals, highly recommend also!) to wrap up an awesome experience.Thank you Anne-Marie and EBG!

EBG helicopters have helped me go from zero to hero; zero being my starting point with no flying experience, hero being my successful qualification as a competent and safe helicopter (angry palm tree) pilot and member of the EBG Helicopter Club family. My instructor, Tim, is excellent; professional, knowledgable, thorough, patient (he's often needed to be!), entertaining (sometimes!) and an exceptional pilot who has always made me feel safe as I've learnt to fly these amazing machines. The other instructors are also really supportive, taking a keen interest in my progress and always willing to give up their time to help, particularly with some of the trickier technical elements. There's a great atmosphere and feeling of camaraderie at EBG, as you get to meet other pilots and students to share experiences. We also go on the odd group adventure, this year's highlight being a superb club trip to France in the helicopters for lunch by the sea.Between the instructors, the maintenance team and the other EBG pilots, they've helped me gain the skills, knowledge and self belief to safely take to the skies. Thanks guys, very glad to keep flying with you!

Got my husband an EBG voucher for his 50th - a London sightseeing flight along the Thames. Customer service from all staff was brilliant the whole way through from buying voucher to the flight itself. It was our first helicopter flight and it was amazing!!! Nothing I would have wanted them to do differently. Would highly recommend.
