JD Gyms Rochdale

Before the refurbishment was a brilliant gym. Now it's even better!! Not sure what it's like during peak times but off peak times has been a great experience in the gym!

Half treadmills don't work. Few machines broken but wanna charge you a late direct debit fee of £15 and then won't refund you for the month cause I don't want to go to that gym anymore.Don't bother with budget gyms. Pay more for a better service.Budget gyms look to make money other ways by charging you for attempting a second direct debit.Zero customer service, willing to loose a customer that pays £20 a month for membership over £15 one off late payment fee.Pure gym rochdale sandbrook park is 24 hours free car park with free parking dont need to constantly put in reg. Facilities are also better.Will be signing up there instead. Keep the £34.99, will be needing it to fix all the broken machines.

I have been coming to JD Gym in Rochdale for over a year now and their recent renovation is spectacular. From a fresh modern interior, to the brand new equipment - JD have a created the perfect environment for people to achieve their goals.The women’s section in this gym is also second to none, with an impressive range of strength training and cardio machines.The staff at the gym place professionalism at the heart of what they do. In particular, one of the PTs, Alex Thompson, is very approachable and always happy to offer a high level of knowledge to gym users about fitness.The gym itself and the staff have created a positive environment for people to make progress, mentally and physically. I would highly recommend JD Gym in Rochdale.

This gym is well worth the money if you training in the AM. Like a high school in evenings. Squeezed the cardio equipment together even more which now means I can smell the breath of the person next to me. Far too close to each other. Overall good gym, staff polite

Cleanliness is a myth at this place. No blue roll or spray to wipe down machines after use. Covered in sweat and smells awful. Bring back the blue roll and spray so I can clean before and after I use the machines and equipment. No idea why they got rid of it in the first place.

Overall gym is very nice but having hot water ..they should arrange some cold shower for hair washing

Overall a good gym with a decent range of equipment, classes, and free parking.Mens changing facilities really let it down. At 07:30 today (1hr 30m after opening), there was no hand wash in both dispensers; clearly not restocked from day before. This isn’t the first occasion. The shower cubicles are poorly maintained, there’s countless shower doors that don’t close or lock. Some have no shelfs to put your essentials. Not the best showering facilities.

Recently joined the gym after 5 years at a different Rochdale gym, but was struggling to operate some of the machines. Luckily after asking for advice, Charlotte offered to take me round and match the machines and exercises to my old routine. She spent around 40 minutes-free of charge- showing me how machines worked and which would suit me. Now I’ve got more confidence to work our regularly. Thanks again Charlotte!

One the original JD gyms to open. As such it was set up to succeed. Ladies only section- Small but equipped. Free-weight section so large it takes up its own story floor. Recent investment with a an elekio rig adds to its appeal and functionality. Many a great trainer here. Nick Broomhead and Tim. General Manager Laura firm and fair running a tight ship up holding gym etiquette.
