RSL Man and Van East London

These guys are excellent. Booked a van with a driver + 1 for 2.5 hours, but the job got done in 1. These guys are really hard workers and don't stop until they're done. They also take direction well and got everything done without a single thing breaking in record time. The driving was impeccable. No sudden stops or hard turns. I'd book with these guys again in a heartbeat.

Have done 4 moves with them in total, but won’t be using them again.RSL were employed to move some large items of a house as a removal company. Used them before and in fact tipped them well last year when they moved us into the address that we now needed moving out of.Here comes the morning and we suddenly get told that we may need more than one trip at £10 each. This was new to us as it was nowhere explicitly in the t&c’s (it was so well hidden I was eventually presented with the small print later in the morning, at a time he was meant to be loading the truck). They then were willing to abondon our booking for an immediate refund. Our issue wasn’t paying £10 extra. Our issue was that he couldn’t prove the terms and conditions that mentioned this. Instead RSL was happy to leave for an immediate refund of our deposit. They left us in a situation where they knew we were dependent on their help to move and instead started to raise their voice when we asked to see the terms and conditions.They knew it was a house. (They moved us into the same address a year ago and my messages kept saying house!)The contents we asked to move where exactly what was in the description.They accepted the booking knowing full well that we would have to pay extra as the description wouldn’t fit into one car.Eventually during the later part of the morning he managed to provide a rather unofficial looking screenshot of a t&c’s that I still haven’t been able to locate. That also happened during the time he was meant to spend loading.In the end, they spent 5h for one van load and a 2 mile trip with the majority being ground floor.What can I say; we ended up booking another company at our expense to finish their job who did it in 2h’s.The tip of the iceberg was when I was standing alone in my new home with a large gent hovering over me demanding immediate payment. And although he had been paid with us having provided proof to him, he kept messaging us after.Wouldn’t use again, given I paid less for a better company after they left.

The driver was a little late, but the guys worked hard without a break for almost 4 hours. I have quite a lot of heavy and oversized furniture that is difficult to lower down the stairs. Everything is fine

I booked this company back in February via Compare the Van & Man and they were superb - ten minutes late, but they called to keep me updated and were respectful, careful & quick. In fact they were so good I asked for their business card for when I had to move my belongings back into my home following a refurb.Four months later I contacted them directly and again, they were polite, prompt in response & understanding when I had to postpone the booking for a month following building delays at my flat.Sadly this is when issues started to turn sour. Despite giving a new date & time, when I contacted RSL the week before my move to confirm everything, I was informed that they were fully booked for 10:00, but could I do 07:00? Obviously I was slightly irritated by the double booking and the early start on offer, but agreed to their request and arranged to meet at the storage unit at 07:00 on Saturday morning. Sadly RSL didn’t think it necessary to turn up at 07:00, or even 08:00 for that matter. In fact, I’m writing this on the following Tuesday and I’m still awaiting any sort of apology or explanation from this company as to why they let me down, didn’t bother to show up and didn’t answer the numerous calls I made to both numbers they provided. I left several messages, admittedly increasingly irritable in tone between 07:00 - 08:00, but no one at RSL has bothered to call me back. I’m disgusted by the treatment I’ve received from this company and if you want a reliable & professional service, it’s worth paying the extra via a third party website. Do not book these charlatans.

Denis was our driver .We booked the service for 2.5 hours and the job was done in 2.1 hours. Incredibly quick in moving didn't waste a single minute of moving time. Very efficient & polite.All the best to George & Denis.

George and Islam were both absolutely brilliant. They responded to the needs on the day, they were flexible and highly skilled at their job. A fair price was charged at the end too. Thank you to Islam for communicating well and helping with arrangements. Thank you George for all the hard work you put in, keeping me up to date and just generally being an excellent professional.Would definitely hire them both again and use RSL man and van in the future.

DO NOT use this company, they broke LG 43” TV in transit, we made a claim and provide photographic evidence of this but they said we didn’t report it in 24 hours and will not cover the cost of the damage or take any liability, our tv was working perfectly before going to their van once brought to our new home it’s crack so it’s obviously that they throw it or hit it against something, be aware very aware of this company. We told the boss we claim through small claim and he said go ahead, so he rather pay thousand then cough up 300 pounds for our tv!

Unfortunately they failed us when we needed them the most, we booked them for an afternoon flat move two weeks in advance but then 2hrs before the slot we’ve been informed that they’ll be late and that they didn’t know what time they’d come. Instead they offered to come “late” and unload the next day and also asked if we can move the next day instead. It became clear that we weren’t going to get to move the same day as planned, leading us to make last minute alternative arrangements with someone else at higher cost. They did return our deposit back at request and apologised but that obviously doesn’t remedy the chaos we had to go through that day

Great service, would hire again!! I hire a man and gigantic van + helper for 4 hours. The quote was reasonable (and cheaper than most, especially considering it was arranged last minute) and I was able to pay the deposit beforehand. They arrived on time and both the driver and the extra man carried everything and knew what they were doing and how to maximize the van capacity. They had wheels to carry boxes and mattress protector, straps. The van was huge and we managed to get everything in one go. The guys were professional, helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend!

These people are thieves and liars. I used them today and noted a large box of valuables missing nowhere to be seen!
