Springs Leisure Centre

Was very disappointed with the racism that I had to deal with here, my kids got told off by the staff, we were getting dirty looks by the people swimming, just dont go if your asian or coloured you won't feel welcomed at all sadly.

Gym is pretty small, the changing rooms aren't great, lockers are separate and charge. Was expecting something similar to Hillsborough but was nothing like it unfortunately. The gym had most things needed though, people seemed to be concentrating on their own thing which I prefer.

Daughter been waiting on the list for lessons for 5 months, checked weekly to see how far away she was when my other child had his lesson to find out 2 weeks ago she had been removed from the list and not contacted (a glitch they said) the lady on the desk promised she’d rectify it and contact me back, suprise suprise she didn’t!So I called today to be told the only thing they can do is put her at the back of another very long list!! One disappointed 5 year old (who’s other friends went on the list after her) is yet again missing out. Avoid the list like the plague!!! Also the changing room showers and toilets always stink and aren’t up to a great standard.

Visit here for badminton. Plenty of car park, friendly staffs. Badminton Court is good. Only negative is the low ceiling roof in the sport hall, so shuttlecocks may stuck somewhere on the roof beams if hitting too high. We always try hard to avoid this. So I think it’s great for recreational purposes. 45 mins per session is not enough but this is the standard of the organisation. Would prefer 60 mins per session.

Gym and Pool is all I have used so there what I can give my experience on.The gym is great. Smaller than most but still great to use.The pool however needs to be cleaned. There is tons of hair leaves and even plasters at the bottom of the pool In the deep end. And quite a bit of mold/dirt.Without a clean the water does feel dirty.

The pool is lovely although the showers, changing rooms are very tired. The place could do with refreshing. The lockers only accept 10p and often get stuck. The place would benefit from a refresh of the showers and changing facilities.

The toilets and drainage in the womens changing rooms are ridiculous. Always dirty, drainage smell, the cubicles aren't big enough to get in to,would be better having 1 bigger cubicle.Staff are always lovely and lessons are good.

Functional but nice. Great place.
