First visit. Very nice decor, tables etc. Service was very good, pleasant & accurate. I thought the lunch menu was good value. My steak frites was not the onglet cut I expected, and was rather tough. Also the beers on the drinks menu are not priced - either an oversight, or naughty.

A lovely brasserie. We had breakfast for my daughter's birthday. The food was pleasant, the service was warm and friendly. The atmosphere is warm and intimate. We'd definitely go again. They offer breakfast, lunch, dinner, Sunday Roast, afternoon tea and Champagne Breakfasts, so perfect for any occasion.

One of the best meals we have had in a long time.Every single dish we had was fantastic and the food was piping hot. I am disappointed when the food comes out warm.Food presentation was good to look at.Staff were great, we were celebrating a birthday, they bought out his dessert with a candle and sang Happy birthday.Just a suggestion would be above and beyond if the birthday dessert was provided as a gesture of good will.We will definitely be coming back

ProsRestaurant was easy to find and has ample parking.Visually, the restaurant is beautifully decorated (as expected for somewhere newly refurbished) especially with the Christmas decorations.We had good seating in the restaurant area, near the kitchen and away from noisy groups which was much appreciated.Food was excellent, nicely presented and cooked well.ConsService was below expectation.Staff were pleasant and well-mannered enough but could be more attentive.The gap between seating us and taking our order, and us finishing our starters and our mains order being taken made us feel a bit forgotten!We had a till only a couple tables away from us which our waitress visited frequently but rarely looked up before heading off in another direction making it hard to get her attention. I spent more time than I'd have liked trying to catch her eye to flag her down which distracted from our evening. Had to physically go up to her to ask for our mains order to be taken.A little disappointing as I'd booked the meal to celebrate my Mother's birthday and this let me down.

This is definitely an upgrade from the last place. The deco is really nice and it has a really chilled out atmosphere. The service is good but will improve in time because it's new. The breakfast was average and the pancakes were pretty poor for what you pay.I'd recommend increasing the temperature of your coffee machine because we reordered a latte and it was still lukewarm.We'd definitely go back and give it another chance.

My family and I had a great time here at Browns in Ruislip. I had a whole Lobster with chips, salads and cherry tomatoes, my kids had a burger and my wife a lovely roasted cod. Everything was delicious. The cod was lovely as well but the portion could have been a bit more generous.The desserts were also really good. The staff was nice and kind. The atmosphere also lovely.It is a bit pricey but definitely we did enjoyed our meal.

Came to browns on the 19th of August there was 6 of us, booked for afternoon tea we was sat down and given normal menus as they didn't read the booking probably I wouldn't really say its worth £24 each tbh.some of the cocktails are nice the camembert is nice, When we first sat down our waitress Sarah was brilliant really polite but when her shift finished it went down hill.The drinks took ages to come the table was never emptied of the glasses, or extra plates we had to keep asking for service as the waiter would just disappear.We ordered food later on as we were there for a while to then be told after we got the food we only had 20 minutes to eat and move as they had other bookings.It's fine having the other bookings but at least let us know before we order food, abit of a let down to be honest it wasn't like it was a cheap bill at the end of it, we wasn't happy to pay the service charge when the service was rubbish after Sarah went she a credit to your establishment.

We had a wonderful festive afternoon tea at Browns today.We've been for lunch before but we wanted to try something different.Food was dainty, tasty and looked lovely.The staff were very friendly and helpful.Food was at a competitive price. Enjoyed it all.

Surprisingly good gastropub style bar/restaurant, located in Ruislip, just behind the High Street. Had heard mixed reviews about Browns, but the food, service and atmosphere were all good. Sunday menu with a selection of roasts, and the usual but well made starters. Good freshly made desserts as well, including custard made from scratch. Our friendly and unassuming waiter, Melston, was very good, friendly, engaging and accommodating.
