Drift Cafe
Recently expanded but still great place right on the coast. Food is good, plentiful and reasonably priced. Very popular with the biking community but also has a good sized car park.It’s a few minutes from Whitley Bay but the but extra time to get there won’t disappoint. I recommend a visit if in the area. I’ll be definitely going back.

If you pull up and cars are parked on the road side and carpark there'll still be plenty of room to eat. There are lots of nooks to sit in. The owners have ordering and serving down to a fine art. All the tables are cleaned immediately.

First time visiting and very pleased with the food, service, and quality of products definitely recommend. Even better dog friendly inside and out. Shame that some dog owners let the dogs who are soaking up on to the wooden chairs, plenty of signs telling customer to keep off the chairs

Lovely cafe close to the beach, gets very busy even out of season, plenty of free parking, good varied menu, excellent, ( very filling) breakfasts and good service.We like that the wait times for food are displayed on a chalk board, good atmosphere and dog friendly.

Absolutely amazing place to go and eat/ I am hard to please when it comes to food but his place was truly fantastic.food is spot on and the staff are really welcoming and friendly. Always busy, which is a good sign, so it is surprising they can get such high quality food out constantly, efficiently and in a timely manner.Would highly recommend

Absolutely delicious food and cakes. A lovely selection to choose from. Staff are friendly. 2 mins walk across the road to a wonderful beach with miles of coastline,, so lovely for a day out

Great experience today - it was really busy, approx 40min wait for food…but swift service had the food out within 20’minutes. Great service. And really polite staff. Hard working. Food and drinks were spot on.

Fantastic location within walking distance of a huge beach that is dog friendly (not sure if any restrictions in the summer) the cafe is also dog-friendly and offers a great range of food. I only had a Flat White with Oat milk. No charge for the Oat milk and the coffee was nice and hot.
