Brimble Lea

Brimble Lea provide the best planning and architectural services in the area. I know that the recent negative reviews are a response to neighbouring tennants being prevented from trespassing over the firm's private car park. None of these reviewers have ever experienced Brimble Lea's client service. Disappointing.

Friendly, professional service.

From personal experience with Matt Williams as my planning consultant, I can vouch for his / Brimble Lea's professional and knowledgable approach to both client relations and to advising accurately and realistically on planning policy, opportunity and responses to planning, ensuring the best possible outcome for his client. Matt spent as much time as I needed on the first project I sought his advice on, during 2020/1. He gave absolutely sound counsel, he managed my expectations (time and budget) and he delivered the outcome I had aimed to achieve. He is eminently easy to work with, responsible, responsive and a great person to have on board.Off the back of my experience during this time, I recommended Matt's services to neighbours and they have been equally impressed, from the feedback given to me, with their dealings too.Onto a new project 2022/23 and Matt was my go-to straight away. I'm delighted to say he has exceeded my expectations, which were pretty high, after the earlier work with him. I will use no-one else, no matter where and what my project is in the future; Matt's success rate for me is 100%, but - more than that - I have been able to class him as an integral and vital member of my team, and will be able to recommend him and Brimble Lea with supreme confidence to anyone else. He is very knowledgable on planning policy and precedent, his communication skills are impressive, his counsel proved wise and reliable - and he's really down to earth and normal at the same time, very easy to get along with.It's very true that having the 'right' team around you can make or break your experience.PLEASE do not be put off by a vendetta 4 years ago that, owing to Google's approach, appears to drag down the rating of this hard-working, very well qualified and brilliant LOCAL firm. We felt so reassured when we hired Brimble Lea, they instantly gave us the support we needed to get us a positive result with our planning application. James as well as doing an incredible job was also lovely and always very helpful. Couldn't recommend them enough.

I cannot recommend Brimblelea highly enough. Matt helped us navigate a very tricky planning process and we were successful. We are thrilled with the results and could not have achieved this without Matt's in depth expertise, unwaning support and complete professionalism. Just brilliant.

Not a family friendly company. Would not recommend.

Sadly, we were very disappointed with the service we received from Brimble Lea. A simple porch and shed planning application spiralled into thousands of pounds. They charge an extortionate amount for every single email they send which made us reluctant to ask any questions at all for fear of receiving a huge bill. We provided all the ideas/solutions. After all that our planning application was rejected. We then came back with a potential solution/adaptation that we would accept and were advised by Brimble Lea that there wasn’t a chance it would be accepted by the planning office. We went ahead anyway having resorted to contacting the planning office ourselves (which in itself was disappointing as we had instructed Brimble Lea in order to save us time and red tape) as we had lost faith in Brimble Lea’s expertise. Lo and behold our application was accepted based on our design. They then had the nerve to charge us for the correspondence about said design. Utter shambles. Would NOT recommend.

Just rude in general, the way they speak to customers is unacceptable.
