Nice little wild area with large Beech trees.Saw a Kingfisher and an Otter while I was there! The boardwalk by the river is in need of repair and could be dangerous if you are not careful.

I live ten minutes walk away, this is a secluded small nature reserve that connects with the old David Rice site up the hill across the low road. It consists of a high up wide path with beech trees, a 6m cliff and marshy land in the meander of the river Wensum. Popular with anglers, canoeists dog walkers and my scout group! The cliff is really oddly steep for Norfolk, makes for lovely views in winter through the beech trees. In summer you can't see much from the path at the top because the trees at the bottom are full of leaf! There is a board walk through the marsh but this is in a very poor state, with the bridge at one end wrecked. They have recently put barriers across to dissuade people from going on the boardwalk.
