Very disappointing. I was quite looking forward to try out this restaurant but it turns out to be not good. The food are just way too SALTY and it burns my throat. The salads are careless( even with water in the dishes) and the pasta is way too raw(the dill wasn’t used properly in that dish). The cream of the dessert tastes cheap and rough. These dishes look quite decent in my camera but taste really bad.

I have loved the place because it combines good simple ingredients with imaginative cooking skills. That goes from the little snacks at the beginning to the desserts. Service is simple and friendly. Bottom line - if you want food that is a step above every day and occasional dinner- go there

Absolutely lovely atmosphere, delicious food, great prices, perfect portions, kind and friendly team. I enjoyed the egg focaccia and it was quite nice. Most definitely will be back. As a professional server who works in a high-end restaurant, well done Gloriosa!

Oh dear, oh dear. High expectations. But the food was just okay, nothing more in my opinion than okay. But not at okay prices. Such a disappointment. £28 for an ordinary piece of cod, a few mussels and a thin sauce with not much flavour of crab. No sign of the promised 'herbs salad' but a distressed piece of (I think) artichoke appeared. The bread looked to have been left in the oven too long and the olive oil was just ok. We ate all the bread because the plate sizes are not generous here. Anchovies with orange peel? Everything, alas, overpowered by the orange. The mackerel was baby sized in my book. Could puddings bring joy in advance of the impending hefty bill? No, they were just okay. On the plus side, good service, lovely restaurant and relaxed atmosphere. But the food was.... just okay.

I have been excited to visit Gloriosa for a long time and I am afraid I was quite dissappointed. We started off with foccaccia and it was very fluffy and delicious. It also came with a good portion however I expected a little bit more than just very salty olive oil to go with it. It is common to have a good dip with some herbs and spices. We had their asparagus dish which was great with a citrus sauce, soft boiled eggs and a delicious creamy side with it. Their mussles toast were good as well.We have tried their pork ragu, it was delicious. We have also ordered their tonnarelli pasta which was way too salty. Both pastas were too al dante for my liking.Desserts were a huge dissapointment. I have never had a worse creme caramel in my life and it is one of my favorite desserts. Caramel was too bitter at a stage that it did not taste good anymore. You could not enjoy the creme caramel itself as it was so bland. We were confused as to where all the sugar went. The raspberry dessert was just alright. On top of that they have this cheeky optional" service fee. If they want to make it optional

One of the best meals out I’ve had in Glasgow! Every dish was delicious and the atmosphere in the restaurant was lovely too. The waiter even gave us some of the amazing focaccia to take home with us. Gloriosa is a must try!

Lovely food and atmosphere, nice staff but the service was a little slow and they bought one of our party's dishes very late/got the order wrong. Nice food, but pricy, not sure I'd go back.

Pros:- Great selection of meat and veggie dishes- All but one of our plates were delicious (the aubergine dish in particular was amazing)- The space is nice and brightCons:- The service is lacking, especially given the price point of the restaurant. No one explained the menu to us (most small plates restaurants ask if you've been before and, if not, give you a guideline on the number of plates to order for your table size), no one checked in on us during the meal or offered a dessert menu at the end, and when we ordered wine the waiter just put it on the table and walked away without offering to pour us each a glass- The pasta was quite thick and undercookedOverall, the food was really good but for the price, I would expect better service.
