This is not the first time I've experienced horrible food from the Rayleigh branch.Steak slice was all pastry and really hard as was the fresh cream eclair. Six pounds wasted I will not go there again.

I live in Rayleigh and the Rayleigh Grouts ladies are superb. So helpful, friendly, and ask after my in- laws if they haven't seen them lately. Absolutely love the shop and the staff and I recommend to all!

We are so lucky in Rayleigh, we have this wonderful bakery and the loveliest staff who work there who go above and beyond with their kindness. My whole family are huge fans ❤️

Thank the heavens that The Bakers is part of the name otherwise being called Grouts, I'd have thought it sold vegetables or tiling accessories. The bread is good. In fact it's miles better than the abominations they sell in Greggs.

Just wanted to say a massive thank you to the ladies at grouts in rayleigh. As essential workers at barclays they have kept us feed and watered for the last 2 weeks allowing us to ensure our staff are feed everyday. The ladies in the bakery have been nothing but helpful couldn't ask for a better team. Thank you from us all at barclays rayleigh.

Delicious products, consistency, and officious staff. I recommend the scone rounds and flapjacks wholeheartedly. Good things don't come cheap, however, and Grouts is probably not for bargain hunters. The freshly baked Cobbers are five times dearer than budget supermarket wholemeal loaves but, not surprisingly, they sell like hotcakes to folk like me. Long may Grouts branches set the tone at my dining table! I don't know of any better patisserie locally.

Went into the Rayleigh store today to make a purchase. Member of staff near the front of the shop looked at us and walked away and proceeded to go and talk to another member of staff at the rear of the shop, a third member of staff discussing tv programmes with a member of the public (that had been served) while a fourth member of staff was standing at the back of the shop staring into the abyss. Four members of staff, with most of them deciding talking was more important than serving customers = lost sale !!
