Wow - struck gold finding this place.Used it as an overnight stop off en route to-from Hampshire/North of Scotland.Cant fault anything about it. Room and facilities are outstanding as was the breakfast, with plenty of different choices available.A few miles off the M6. Petrol station just up the road was cheap for topping up for onward journeys too which was a bonus.Regular bus service to and from Carlisle -Annan if going out and about which runs until 10pm.If youre looking for somewhere around Carlisle or this part of the Scottish Borders, you could do a hell of alot worse for double the price.Highy HIGHLY recommended, and for me to say that, it must be good.

Stayed for the weekend as we had a wedding down the road. It was a great place to stay. Very clean, good breakfast and very friendly staff. Only thing I would recommend is providing an air freshener as the smell from the cafe gets on your clothes very quickly.

Lovely man running the place. Generous hearty breakfast. Fairly priced. Unfortunately the bedding was stained and one of the beds had a mattress that was too big for it making the bed uncomfortable. Also there was a random sock on the floor which was obviously from a previous guest…

Dropped in for something to eat on our way up north. Food was delicious and very friendly service. We were also treated to two free bowls of beetroot. Don’t stop at an overpriced motorway service station - stop here instead. Highly recommended!

We loved our stay here. The owner was friendly and helpful. Good breakfast. And although he didn't have oat milk, he was more than willing to nip across the road to buy some (which I refused).
