The Real Putney Plumbers

The guy came and after a few minutes said the boiler was dead. But for some reason he just didn't leave! Instead, he stayed and started making conversation, left, came back, checked the boiler AGAIN, told me AGAIN the same diagnosis. I just couldn't understand why he was still there. Then I received the invoice :£500! They just milk you by clocking the hours and do nothing else!

Came round. Did the job. No fuss . Very good service. Highly recommended.

Rude receptionist. I hired one plumber who installed a sink but has not worked from day one. I seeked this company's services to solve the problem but aparently it is their policy not to take on a job in this type of situation. Their advice is for me to contact the first company that couldn't provide the service in the first place.

Very prompt with answering phone call to make an appointment. Plumber arrived in good time and carried out an excellent repair. The *Real* Putney Plumbers are my favourite port of call for plumbing work in the area of SouthWest London covered.

I wanted a price on a new boiler and rads. Wow- they have become expensive now. I've used them for a number of years for boiler service and the system filter service was always included. Then they wanted £10 extra to clean the filter but the engineer they sent didn't know how to do it. This year they wanted £37.50 + VAT just to clean the filter - a 5-10 min job - on top of the c. £75 + VAT they charge for the boiler service. I found much better value elsewhere.

I concur with the previous review - reasonable until something went wrong" and their responses "entirely unsatisfactory". The plumber didn't identify that a "faulty dishwasher" had been re-installed without the cap on the outlet pipe being removed - a very basic plumbing error. The builder (Tavenor Finnis) who re-fitted it wouldn't take responsibility and Putney Plumbers said Siemens

Ernie turned up on time today. Listened to the various things that needed doing including installing a new Stuart Turner pressure pump. Putney Plumbers could not source one of the correct pressure so they let me just order it online which was much cheaper. All done with no fuss. Ernie also helped sort out a broken radiator valve on the same visit and address a leak at the back of the Jacuzzi in one of the bathrooms (though he had left his stanley knife at a previous cutomer, he managed to use a spare blade to take away the sealent around the unit so it could be pulled out from the wall). Overall excellent service and he only charged for the time on site of 1.5hours. Recommended.

Have used Putney Plumbers on two occasions now, once to fix a toilet that was leaking, and the second time (today) to fix a valve on our boiler that meant we had no hot water.Sebastian visited today and he was a top notch guy, really friendly and did a great job in talking me through the problem, the cause and the fix he suggested. The price was broadly as expected when one considers the expertise and market.I also find the response when calling Putney Plumbers to be efficient and effective, I even got someone to do the job in under two days which was great.Thanks again, and if we need anything doing, we’ll be in touch for sure.
