There are fewer street stalls than there used to be, but there are lots of fresh fruit and veg stalls. Great fresh fish, butchers, and general hardware shops as well

this street is very characteristic, full of fruit stalls, and ethnic shops. an area really full of colors and good vibes. HAPPY I've been here!

Widely refurbished street area. New paving, trees and assorted planting. Visited their festival with plenty of sound stages, food stalls and artisan wares. A little steep on prices and maybe too many candles/ soap and lookalike choices. It's hard to capture people's interest these days when there's so much competition from on line conglomerates like Etsy. Mind you l defy anyone to buy decent plants as presents without being able to see, smell and judge their condition. The flower stall definitely stood out for presentation and value for money. Fruit and vegetables obviously not there in the same way as on normal market days. I have friends in the area who visit regularly to get their main weekly supplies. We need to support street markets or these spaces will disappear forever.

There are very few stalls, not much of a market now. However, many of the grocery stores have unusual choices of fruit and vegetables you won't find in normal supermarkets. There are very good butchers, and 2 very good fish mongers as well, as a great choice of restaurants and cafes.If you like browsing charity shops for second-hand clothes, they're all on North End Road.

Although there is a wide selection of fruit and veg, sellers are extremely arrogant and rude. Customers cannot choose or touch anything without getting shouted at. Attitude among the sellers are bad and i wont recommend buying anything here unless u have no choice. Its pathetic customer service. One stall even has fruit on display which actually sells bad fruit when u buy them because the seller will take it frm a different piles behind the pretty display fruit. Bananas sold for a pound but the seller will start shouting if u choose different bowls or look at them a long time. Of course u cannot touch any before buying. Stupid.. i am so glad lidl is opening soon , coop has closed, and these stall sellers will have a good run for their money. They would be lucky if they can even make one sale a day. The feedback below frm the market owner says it all for the sellers. Arrogant and rude. Perhaps they only want to sell to a certain race or category of customers.
