The George Bar & Grill
We were in Weymouth on a cruise stop. We wanted to try a local pub for a pint and fish n chips. The service was excellent and friendly. The food was excellent. We tried the fish n chips and they had mussels on special that were some of the best I've ever had. I can't wait to visit again.

We had our works Christmas do. The staff were superb. Friendly, helpful and very efficient. The food was excellent. They had cordoned off a small section for us and we're so accommodating at all points. I cannot recommend The George highly enough. They made it an excellent start to the festive season.

The George Bar & Grill
This pub is in a lovely location, near to the estuary, one of the nicest parts of Weymouth. We caught it at sunset, and the whole area looks beautiful, ideal for a post or pre dinner stroll. The George had some nice pub fayre, a cut above the usual pub grub. My Mexican burger was tasty and spicy with plenty of jalapeños, just the way I like it. Perhaps the bun could have been a little more moist. The coleslaw wasn’t anything to write home about, to be perfectly honest. There was a nice portion of fries. I was actually full up before I could finish. My brother had linguini which he absolutely loved. We also had a mackerel pâté which, again, got mass approval from all those who tried it. The service in The George was excellent, friendly and welcoming. The place also looks great, with a bit of character yet unfussy. A very pleasant place to have a meal and a drink.

Stopped for an unprompted lunch as we walked around Weymouth. Food was superb and got to recommend the fish cakes, tacos and Chef Burger. Great views of the harbour from the outside seating. Highly recommend if your in the area

The worst Caesar salad ever. You basically get mix leaves salad with potatoes, radish, onion, red peppers, tomatoes, cucumbers,boiled chicken (even though on on a menu it says Flame grilled chicken), a few bits of bacon and even not proper Caesar dressing (tastes like the one you buy at supermarket). And you get rotten salad leaves in a salad. When I went to return a salad, blond lady said that is a George version of a Caesar salad and the leaves are not rotten, but it’s a color of the leaves. My husband was hungry, so he ate a bit of salad. After he spoke to the lady, she agreed to refund money for one salad. Never coming back here again.

Really popular place. Nothing was too much trouble. Found a table for 6 straight away. Kids meals cane out first. Food was delicious. Spot on, thank you.

Lovely family run pub by the Quay. Great atmosphere inside, love the gallery sitting upstairs, nice view over looking the water if you sit by the window.New York Deli Style was delicious and generous portion. Tried the cold river cider as well which was very refreshing.Saw other people having a roast dinner which looked fantastic, the Yorkshire puddings looked huge.Service was very quick and staff were very attentive.Would definitely visit again.
