Some staff very helpful, some not so much... if you are asked to check if you have stock it's probably best not to just walk off and stand in a different part of the shop for a minute IN SIGHT then come back and say no. The guy on the till was excellent though actually checked to see if they had anything available to order. Even though another member of staff told him not to bother In front of the customer.

Store has moved and is now much smaller than the old one. Music selection is *very* limited, esp non-mainstream (my son was looking for metal, the entire selection takes up maybe a half dozen columns of CDs). Lots of novelty" items (comics

Brought back memories of flicking through vinyl in the 70s/80s.

Reminds me of the good old 1990s! Daughter picked up 3 LPs for a small mortgage but got what she wanted. Nice store, prices high but then I remember what a LP cost in 1995 lol. Staff were very helpful.

HMV shop is a surprising blast from the past in today's digital age. It's interesting that some people still enjoy the low-tech experience of physical media. The selection of T-shirts is decent enough, but it seems to focus on what's popular. It's worth a visit if you prefer browsing physical media, but keep in mind that the range might not be as extensive as online or specialized shops. Suitable for mainstream tastes.

Always stocked up on dvd, CDs and merch. Can find some good deals too! Interesting to see trending films and merch and one time they had a live band playing when the new store opened. HMv has always been consistent as well so you can always easily find different genres etc.

Some things in life keep changing. HMV is still here, thank goodness!To go to a real shop instead of buying online is so much better, I'll definitely be back again. And again....

Wandering around Meadowhall awaiting the repairs to my van,I stumbled across HMV. I thought that it had gone out of business so I was quite surprised. I have mixed feelings about it though. There appears to be rather a lot of irrelevant tat on sale here,but at the same time I was pleased to note the amount of vinyl records that were now being stocked. If only we could also buy some quality music systems and the superior quality speakers that we took for granted fifty years ago. Unfortunately, such equipment is no longer made. I did, however, manage to find a couple of CDs to play in my van, so I am well pleased. The majority of the population has no experience of the richness and the quality of the sound that we experienced all those years ago. Even CDs sounded better. The CD was invented by an Englishman in 1973 but took another decade to get to market. They featured on a programme named Tomorrow's World. Anyway if you can find some half decent music system somewhere, go along to this shop and buy some vinyl records and you'll discover the enormous difference.

Love the vinyl section, but I think it needs a little more managing, many albums in the wrong place/section. I realise its lazy customers doing this, but HMV need to manage it and sort it or risk losing more customers. That said, they had a good selection of vinyl to flick through.
