Just picked up a Discovery 4 from Steve, Saturday past there and I'm super pleased with the car and the service I received. I travelled down from Central Scotland a fortnight before to look at the car, after emailing and phoning to discuss. He was always prompt in replying and honest with the car itself. We did the dealt and I travelled down by train to pick the Disco up and was even offered a lift from the Station in Morpeth!Thanks sooooo much :-)

I cant praise this business enough!! Coming three hundred miles North, on the day before Christmas eve, to visit my folks for Christmas when two thirds of the way up after a short stop my engine warning light came on in my Discovery. During the remainder of the trip I must have phoned virtually every dealer in first North Yorkshire and then subsequent counties on my way with absolutely no help at all. When I got to my destination, feeling desperate by this stage, I tried Morpeth Motor Company by sending them a message through their website at around 11pm! In the morning Steve had phoned to say that they had someone (Phil) in their Pegswood garage who could take a look. Phil was fantastic and after diagnosing the issue extremely professionally he phoned round his suppliers and arranged for the parts to be delivered and he stayed on to fit them and check again that the car was sound. If you want professional service from a truly genuine set of people I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them very highly. They saved my Christmas holidays!

Recently bought a Discovery 4 from this garage. Being from the motor trade myself I can be very critical of garages but in this instance I had no concerns. The trade in value of my old vehicle was as expected and in line with 'book' prices. Upon handover a missing 2nd key issue was quickly dealt with and supplied within a few days. The car was presented exeptionally well with the cleaning and preparation being imaculate. So far the car has performed well without any of the normal Land Rover niggles.Being a owner of three previous Discovery's I am very much a realist and know what to expect and in this instance I'm feeling very good about the vehicle and Morpeth Motor Company.

Not good at sorting out problems from the day of purchase in November 2022 - we had to eventually contact Trading Standards before we were taken seriously - we have taken the van back 4 times at 40 mile trips each time and it’s still not fixed correctly - we have now given up as we do not want to have to deal with them again! This whole process has been ongoing for 8 months

Avoid at all cost !!!!!!!!!Problems started 1 week after purchase. Van went back to them 4 times and each time came back without being fixed.Van needed:Outside temperature sensorTiming chain rattledNew shock absorberGear box was clunking into gearTracking was way outConstant engine light for various faultsNo filters had been changed during their “” pre purchase service””.Then after 3 weeks noticed oil in the coolant reservoir. Asked for a refund on the vehicle and they just used any excuse not to give it (wish I had perused with this).They tried to fob be off with excuses like “some one must have put oil in the wrong cap” which is utter nonsense. They agreed to fix all defects on the van and after fighting nearly daily for 6 weeks for updates on the fixes while they had the van I got it back.Now 5 months after getting the van back the “new shock absorber” has just collapsed while driving with my family in the van sending us into the central reservation. The heater is not working because of something they done with the cylinder head change. There are various bit of wiring which are literary taped onto their respective connectors as they broke the connectors while working on the vehicle. They even stole a self tapping screw from the ply racking in the back of the van to fix one of the interior plastic components.I ended up getting the timing chain done else where after they said it was fine (sounded like a jar of screws in a washing machine) and guess what, it was stretched on removal !!Don’t be fooled by the nice shiny signs at the forecourt.An absolute shambles from start to finish. They are nothing short of incompetent cowboys. Wouldn’t trust them to boil my kettle. Steve will even openly admit he knows nothing about cars where there is a problem and Paul will be too busy with his motorbike to care about doing a proper fixThere are countless other things I’ve missed from this story but i haven’t got the time to list them all.Find me on Facebook (Alan Thompson, amble) and I’ll happily send some of the photos of their work.Be warned !!!!!
