Bees Indian Restaurant Bar & Grill
Have been to this restaurant few times. Good food and great customer service. They customise based on our requests. Nice place to try out Indian and Bangladeshi cuisine. Easy to locate and it is near to the Colchester castle park. They also have Special Buffet at just £14.95 available only on Sundays from 12:00pm to 8:00pm. Will visit again!

My boyfriend and I decided to try this Indian restaurant for lunch. We were met with polite greetings by the restaurant owner. He sat us down and talked through a little of the menu. After looking through the menu I was originally going to have a chicken vindaloo curry but the owner persuaded me to try the ‘chicken tikka naga’ as it has the same spice as the vindaloo, but more flavour. This was off the bees specialties menu. (Warning it is very hot but AMAZING)! The ‘chicken tikka naga’ is very spicy but has many many flavours and the sauce was not too runny which made it perfect for mixing with the rice and dipping the garlic naan in. He also recommended the special green chicken curry to my boyfriend, which I must say was one of the best decisions we agreed to. This curry is a curry with spices and made with a lot of coriander and has a nice kick to it. It was phenomenal and I, as a Bengali myself, was highly satisfied. The Bombay aloo was bursting of flavours. The garlic naan was fluffy and awesome. The owner then presented us with free desserts- they were Gulab jamun in a semolina pudding. These were really nice and sweet and tasted wonderful. I highly recommend this restaurant and the staff here are very friendly.

Placing the order was a problem. The girl on the phone didn't know the dishes I wanted so in the end, she had to get someone else to take the order!! Food wasn't great. Several of us had a stomach ache the next day. But what was embarrassing was that we ordered food for 5 people (takeaway) and spent quite a bit of money. The restaurant decided to offer some free poppadoms. In the bag, there was a single poppadom broken into several bits. Come on....how much would it have cost you for a few more poppadoms? It would have better not to offer that single poppadom!

Had Chicken Biriyani here and it was tasty, however their staff was not welcoming and bit sarcastic and not happy with the orders we made and told us to order everything at once and they don’t take orders multiple times per table. Their website and facebook page showed discounts but staff told that its expired and their website is not up to date.

I recently had the pleasure of trying the chicken biryani at this restaurant, and it was absolutely delightful! I specifically asked for extra spice, and they delivered perfectly. The flavors were rich and satisfying. Beyond the fantastic food, the service was impeccable. A truly enjoyable dining experience that I would highly recommend!

Bees Indian Restaurant Bar & Grill
We, group of 3 went to this restaurant by seeing the ratings, but we were really disappointed with food, meat was stale, not properly cooked. We ordered mixed tandoori grill which had chicken, lamb, prawns and they were smelly. Initially we thought of ordering main course as well, but as we didn't like the food , we changed our mind.
