Thirsty Bear Bar rocks! Dropped by for a games meetup and it was epic. Cool vibes, awesome drinks, and super-friendly peeps. The place had plenty of room for our crew, and the vibe was buzzing. Thirsty Bear Bar totally nailed it for a chill gaming hangout. Can't wait to roll some dice there again!

Great pub! Cape here with two friends to get a drink from the DUSK app. The bar staff were so friendly, especially the gentleman who made our old fashioned. Drink was delicious and they had great seating options. I will definitely come back the next time I’m in the area.

Service really bad, short tempered staff, couldn't pour a shandy. Overpriced and we had to essentially wait our own table as they had seemingly two blokes running the whole place. Hire more staff and train them properly.

Somewhat of a different take on this place since we came for a quick lunch rather than a pint after work.Absolute value of a lunch set with its multiple burger options and sides AND a drink. Loved the pint of cider (certainly didn't help our productivity after but well).Would come back. Beautiful burger as well.

Went for a couple of pints, was busy but still got a table upstairs and the bar up there was open so nice abs easy to get another beer! Good selection on tap, was nice and warm and the sports were on so everyone was happy

Grubby dirty place, tables were sticky and toilets are cramped and piss stinking. In sure they do fine though due to the theatres around. Dodgy people were in there continually staring at me and my partner so check your pockets when your in there.

Good selection of draught beers in a good location, food was below average. However this is all overshadowed by the way the owner/manager bullies the bar and waiting staff in front of customers. I heard him threaten to send one of them home if they poured the pint ‘wrong’ again and then telling him to read signs properly when the bar tender was clearly new. Awful atmosphere which makes customers (and staff) feel uncomfortable, the manager needs to learn how to train and provide feedback in a respectful manner.

Would be your run of the mill average pub, but the landlord who openly berates his staff within ear shot of customers is extremely uncomfortable. I heard him tell a barman who didn’t pour my pint properly that he’d send him home if he did that again. Bang average pub made way below average because of the completely awful landlord. We left because we didn’t want to give such a bully our custom. Food was also absolute pish.

I had been there before pandemic and tried my luck again - we weren’t disappointed at all!They have a Special lunch - Burger, side and a pint for £11 and it was really tasty compared to other burgers I’ve had. Would likely recommended it.
