The Y Club

Best gym around city centre. Staff is super friendly and attentive. It’s never too over crowded.

I would recommend this gym. Nice pool, a variety of age groups attending the gym and the classes. Nice staff, busy but helpful if you need them. A women only sauna is available in the women changing room, separate sauna and steam room by the pool.It is a shame it only has two fives courts but no squash court available. The fives courts are quite under used and I would highly wish they can consider to have a squash court!

The worst customer service I have experienced. The staff is rude and often do not care about members or visitors. Often staff is miss informed and do not treat members with respect and professionalism. I suppose the staff is underpaid and really unhappy working in such an environment.On the other hand, the manager Will and the class/fitness manager Reece have provided me professionalism and good customers care.I love giving positive review to business, but for this one my rating is 1 star. I was thinking to give them 2 stars due to the new manager which is been very helpful and polite, sadly it is a 1 star due to staff members Ruth and Beth.I would recommend you try the place and experience the facilities, as you might have better, positive experience.

Oh man, one of the few gyms that really cares about your fitness journey and every member of the gym leaves the pretense at the door.You get A LOT OF GYM for little money compared to most gyms and you could not but the vibe that the Y Club creates.One thing you will never have to worry about is feeling of of place. Beyond the members of staff that will support you, the gym members themselves proactively share best practice.Why the Y Club? Y not?!

This gym is pretty good with plenty of equipment, my only issue is with not a single person seems to put away their weights after use, this leaves the weight area a complete mess, adds time and energy when you are trying to use a piece of equipment. They also do not have straight barbell weights (only 15kg?) The rest are z bars, not great when you are starting out and want to perfect form for rdls.

I like coming to the many free classes, then dipping in the pool afterwards. I do wish it had squash though!

Went with my granddaughter to her swimming club, smallish pool but ideal for a 5 year old, very friendly and family oriented place. Also it has its own private secure car park which you have to pay for at the club reception.

I have been a member of the Y Club for ten years and have found the staff friendly and helpful, the facilities excellent and the other members wonderful. It's like one big family and I have made many new friendships there. The classes are excellent and a special shout out to Reece, Harry & the other staff.

I'm feeling quite disappointed with my experience with Y club. During registration, I mentioned that I have blue light card, but nobody asked me for my ID, even though I had it with me.They don't apply discount for me for 5 months and once I mentioned they don't apply it for previous months.Not accepting their mistakes at all, but if you want to cancel your subscription they want strong evidence. I guess there is no transparency.
