Firstly, I inadvertently 'liked'the last post regarding the one star rating. Apologies!..Don't allow that one star post to deter you from visiting and buying from this wonderful butchers. .. This traditional butchers is first class. I moved into the area last year and was delighted to find a traditional butchers. The people are incredibly friendly, knowledgable, helpful and the meat they source and sell is sublime. Yes, it may cost a bit more than from a supermarket but the quality and end cooking product more than makes up for that. There is no comparison. The taste is beautiful, the meat is always tender and tasty and shrinkage during cooking and water produced during cooking is zero so you lose nothing. The other huge issue is they know where the meat comes, support local business and animal husbandry is important to them. The home produced products are endless and delicious. Bacon and sausages fantastic and the pies, pasties, quiches, soups, banana cake, bara brith, jams, pickles are addictive! I wouldn't buy my meat anywhere else. If you want to stuff rubbish, plastic packaged cheap quality, poor animal welfare meat that costs nothing and tastes of nothing, then you won't visit them. If you want meat that tastes of meat then you are in for a treat.

I always bought here whilst on holiday but I won't now. They have a ONE star food hygiene rating score from their last inspection in March 2017 (as at 13 May 2017) from Pembrokeshire County Council - they reported Food Hygiene and Safety as Poor, Structural Compliance as Fair and Little in Confidence in Management. It's a shame and I hope they have a better score when I am next in St Davids next year.

I popped into St David’s after a walk on the cliffs, I didn’t want to go into Haverfordwest due to the situation with the virus.The meat here is the best, the back bacon was really tasty and the rib eye steaks are the best I’ve had.I would just like to say thank you, I will definitely be back, stay safe .

High quality! Bacon is delicious and thick. Tried their dragon sausage which has a hint of chilli in it, and was lush. Great selection of other stuff like veg, sauces, eggs and lunch things too. Such a useful shop.

We are sorry that you felt that you needed to place this as a comment on google, as we have not hidden the fact that we are currently scored low as this is displayed in the shop window. Visited this butcher to purchase items for a roast while I was visiting Wales. The most friendly butcher served us and gave us recommendation based on our party size. He was very knowledgeable and even gave us a discount. Would recommend visiting if you are in Wales, not only for meat but for veg and household items.

Amazing marinaded meats for BBQ. Visited twice while staying in st. David’s, the chicken kebabs, ribs etc were amazing.Fantastic butchers, wish we had one as good as this where we live.

We had a variety of bbq chicken skewers and marinated spare ribs for our tea. Cooked beautifully in 30 mins in the oven as no bbq. No watery chicken found here, just succulent and flavour full meat. A great find for our holiday cook in. Thank you x

Asked Suzy to make up a BBQ pack and it was amazing. Absolutely spot on. Much appreciated. Would highly recommend.Just read a review concerning hygiene. When I entered this shop I had no reason to believe the hygiene was poor . The floor, cabinets were spotless. I can't can't testify as to conditions in the back room where the butchery goes on but if the shop is a guide I dont see a problem.

Very disappointing! Lamb and mint kebabs should be trimmed of tough fat and gristle.The punnet of strawberries far from fresh, top layer ok, mushy and sludgy underneath.
