Ferraby Knives

Just bought one of Will's knives and had it sent across to Australia. It is a work of art, a thing of beauty and will definitely be a family heirloom. It came in an awesome box which was a real surprise. I'll definitely be going back to hopefully buy another one.

After many years of admiring Will’s work and resisting the need to purchase one. I finally gave in last Christmas and treated myself to one of his works of art. They normally sell out within minutes when he posts them on his website. The stars must have aligned and I got lucky when I finally managed to purchase one. I have been using it for a month now and it truly is amazing. Its razor sharp, beautifully crafted, well balanced and super fun to use. I even think my food taste better since I got it! It’s definitely worth the investment and I will definitely buy again. Will is truly a master of his art.

So happy to have nabbed The Green Dragon at Will’s auction before Xmas 2018. My guests Ferraby knife I was first struck by how beautiful it is as an art piece. The blade is substantial and gleams in light like Excalibur. However it’s when you pick it up thatvthe love affair really begins.. so light, with exquisite balance and a razor edge it is effortless to use. I set out some time ago to slowly assemble a custom set of knives and had fallen in love with Will's work. Sadly he seldom does custom pieces any longer. It took a few months of waiting for the right one to come along and by the sounds of things a bit of luck as I managed to get the one I wanted. It's a true piece of art. I've had the chance to use it for several weeks now and the craftsmanship is incredible. It will be well loved and used for years to come.

One of my most valued possessions. I've used it every day for 2 years: It gives me joy every time I pick it up, and it's still razor sharp. I'm also still oiling the olive wood handle regularly just for the sheer pleasure of handling it -and admiring Will's craftsmanship!

Will Ferraby designs and makes the best cook's knives I have ever used. We use this on in our Tea Shop - Tea with Percie, S7 1TA - every day to prep food. The blade is ultra sharp and retains its edge far longer than our other chef's knives. It is light, ergonomic and beautiful.

I have only looked at their website, it caught my eye as I am an artisan maker and in the kitchen ,nothing beats really good knives. Well, im6not surprised these fly out of his den, tho theyre out of my price range. However, if you have the money and to cook/chef, is your art or business, these will last a lifetime and are things of beauty indeed

I'd been aware of Ferraby Knives for a few months after seeing the delight of a chef at one of our favourite restaurants who had acquired one. From then on, I followed Will's site and sales closely, admiring the beauty and performance of the knives via images and videos. One month there was a knife that really caught my imagination, so for the first time, I attempted to buy it, right on release time, and I was successful! Living not far from Sheffield, I went to pick the knife up and met Will who is clearly an enthusiast, someone who has loved knives and knife making for his entire life. We talked through his process and the process involved in my knife in particular, which was fascinating and added to the experience no end. The knife is, as you'd expect, peerless and a work of art as much as a kitchen implement. It has instantly become a family heirloom! I can't rate the knife highly enough and the output is a fantastic testimony to the input of a highly skilled and driven craftsman. GET ONE!!

I now have 3 of Will's knives. They are amazing. Each one individual yet built to a purpose. Bespoke, hand made, unique, precious, works of art - it's hard to describe with words the feeling of holding one - much better than any other knife out there. On one level you want to collect and display them, on another they are amazing tools for the job and cry out to be used. If you can afford one - can you afford not to have one!
