Don't waste your time with this agency if you have no guarantor, your rental application will not be processed! Even if you have are working full-time and you have savings to pay upfront rent, they will not bother with your application.

Discriminate against disabled and people claiming benefits. My daughter through no fault of her own can’t work but she has a brilliant credit rating. She has savings and more than capable of affording rent. She’s a great mum and her cleanliness is impressive. She booked a viewing on a local property with Bakewell and Horner they took the booking. Then called her and told her the landlord had rejected her due to being on benefits. I pointed out this is discrimination and was told it was due to the mortgage the landlord has. I have looked into this further and found older mortgages are not legal and now would be classes as discrimination so there’s no basis to this excuse. Banks are offering mortgages to benefit claimants! To blatantly discriminate without any relevant basis except discrimination is disgraceful.

We moved house in Jan 2023 and Bakewell & Horner where the sellers estate agents. We didn't have too much involvement with these until near the end but I was asked to leave a review. I spoke to 2 people one was a Man (don't remember his name) who was quite understanding and polite at every call. One was a woman called Vicky who both me and my husband found to be very abrupt. I feel her attitude towards myself was just totally unnecessary. Moving house as we discovered for us was one of the most stressful things we have had to do. Just relying on lots of different people/companies to get things done. We had a mortgage broker company we had paid a lot for and they where really taking their time and messing us around. Vicky would be chasing for an update a few times a week which is totally fine but a few things she said where really abrasive and just made my really bad anxiety totally worse. For example 'things like ''well the seller will have to put the house back on the market soon''. As if it was our fault that the delay was happening! When we where chasing things almost daily from our broker. I actually left one phone call in tears so maybe a bit more customer service training is needed here. Like I said whenever I got through to the man he always made me feel calmer about the situation it was just Vicky that seemed to make out the whole process was going to fall through.

An excellent service from start to finish. Having dealt with both the sales and letting teams I can highly recommend Bakewell and Horner Estate agents. They went above and beyond expectations. A special mention to Anthony and Lucy whose customer service was fantastic.
