This has got to be the best local pub on the entire Wirral peninsula!!! Will and Sue the hosts are great with will often singing on the PA and always a load of live music each weekend! Always busy with lots of functions and parties this place is a great night out and a brilliant family pub of a day too! Can't beat an old fashioned local pub and atmosphere....EVER! Well done will and Sue and staff....always get our vote.

Based on my visits regularly in1970s and 1980s they had little hut like dining area food was always brilliant I was your typical prawn cocktail steak and black forest gateau,plus bottle of blue nun,Great food ,well, ser ved,and friendly staff,

Just had an absolutely lovely evening celebrating my son's birthday. Lovely welcoming atmosphere, friendly helpful smiley staff genuinely interested in us. Gorgeous burgers and ice cream sundae to follow laden with chocolatey bits! Perfect! Nicola ,you were a dream! Thanks for being so helpful.xx

Great atmosphere, huge range of drinks at good prices, music, sports and live entertainment. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating and the staff were great!

Warm and friendly atmosphere, nice range of beers, wines and spirits. Great for sports fans and music lovers, with a comprehensive live music schedule at weekends, and multi screen sports coverage. Also caters to local community groups, with access and facilities for disabled.

Warm, welcoming and well kitted out. Beer is very reasonably priced, spirits a bit expensive.My only complaint is that the service is often slow, especially when there is a game on. Why have a huge bar and only 2 staff?
