My first ever experience with the Garden Clinic is a very good one, I called in on last Monday to book an appointment and Raheema dealt with me over the phone. She is very lovely individual, extremely polite and professional. I had my appointment same day, Raheema welcomed me with a friendly smile in the reception. Also I was seen by Romanian nurse (sorry I didn't get your name) who was also very lovely and professional. Thank you both again for that. I would highly recommend this clinic.

I went today to get a hormonal IUD inserted (also known as an IUS). First time having this form of contraception and I also haven't given birth before. It is an uncomfortable procedure, I won't sugarcoat it: I threw up due to the pain afterwards.Having said that, the nurses and the staff at the clinic are wonderful. I had Marie and Ellie for my procedure and they really helped put me at ease. They went at pace that was best for me. Both of them were lovely and have extremely good bedside manners.Marie made sure that I was aware of my options and was well informed of the possible side effects. I was also able to take home an information leaflet on the type of IUD I got inserted.I recommend anyone considering an IUD to go here. There is a bit of a waiting list but I was able to book an appointment through their online system. I also suggest taking painkillers before the appointment and bringing along a stress ball.

Need to explain a bit more on the website, seen that the deal with the implant so I went to the clinic to have mine removed, got there waited etc then told I could only have It removed via an appointment, been trying to get my implant removed for the past month nearly, phoning to try and book appointments get told I'm.1st or 2nd in the queue then get a busy call back message.Went in again to try and book an appointment told could only be done over the phone. Bit of a joke really. One of the worst run clinics I've crossed paths with.

It’s seems to be impossible to book an appointment with this clinic, I called yesterday, the receptionist (Sandra Lee)said that they are fully booked and to call back tomorrow to book for Monday. I called today and they said they are fully booked for Monday, I asked to book for any other date in 2 weeks or 3 weeks time but she refused to do that which in my opinion is doesn’t make sense and it makes me feel like to be discriminated against.

I have read most of the reviews on here and have to agree with most of the positive and some of the negative reviews. The staff are mostly great. Well, the clinical ones. The receptionists do leave a lot to be desired, but I also have some sympathy with them although they could learn to be a bit more flexible in their outlook towards patients. This, of course, makes the receptionists number 1 in the line of fire...The real issues are the bookings system and walk in service. If you don’t get there early for the walk in sessions you are mostly likely going to be out of luck, or face an extremely long wait. The bookings system is not much better either because it’s not unusual to be told of an appointment in 3-4 weeks which is no good to most people.Other than these niggles, the clinical staff are great and tend to do a good job. The whole process can appear slow sometimes but that is the nature of the beast.

The treatment is better than excellent. I was very afraid of the IUD insertion. The doctor spoke to me and explained everything and treated me very calmly and it was better than I expected. Thank you all from the first reception until the doctor and the nurse

It is very difficult to get through on the phone . I have been trying for two weeks the message states you are at position 2 it then goes to position 1 then a message kicks in and says it’s busy call back later. I finally got through to the manager after calling Upton Hospital switchboard direct . The website should list the telephone manned hours alongside the walk-in hours . It’s very frustrating trying to call on and off during the day and the phones are not answered. Maybe the department needs more staff to cover this and the website fully updated alongside the hours listed on google as they are different.

I visited today to have the mirena coil fitted. I was met at reception and asked to provide a urine sample and then to take a seat in the waiting room. I was waiting only about 5 minutes before being called through by a nurse called Marie. I was really anxious about the procedure and had been working myself up the whole morning and evening before. Marie was an absolute professional and was so reassuring. She really managed to put me at ease and the procedure itself from start to finish was only a few minutes. The start was very similar to having a smear test and the placement of the coil itself was only mildly uncomfortable (like quite a strong period cramp) and only lasted a few seconds. I took paracetamol and ibuprofen beforehand which I think helped. I have never given birth so was expecting it to be incredibly painful but the whole experience couldn't have been more different from how I'd imagined it would be.My only criticism is that the waiting time to get the appointment was around 2 months (apparently due to covid). I suppose that sort of thing is out of the individual clinics control though so I am still giving a 5 star review. All of the staff I came into contact with today were so kind and treated me with absolute dignity. Thank you for making an anxious time as bearable as possible and in particular a huge thank you to Marie, you were great!

I just wanted to write that I had a really seamless experience with using the Garden Clinic. While I had been waiting over a month at the GP for a certain procedure, I called up the garden clinic and was booked in immediately for the following week. The staff were patient, kind and informative. A few weeks later, I was worried that I had had complications, and was given an emergency appointment for that same morning. My nurse for that, Stella, was so lovely and really made me feel so at ease in what is otherwise a very intimate and scary situation. I am very grateful that this service exists.
