Amazing architecture on this Church, very glad the Church conservation trust acquired ownership otherwise it would have fallen into disrepair. It's a shame that the door into the tower is locked but I fully understand and respect why it needs to be.

Nice church in a remote setting, it has a Norman round tower with a 15th century octagonal top. The porch with its timber and brick design is 16th century, though restoration work was done in 1867. Sadly the angels on the corbels of the nave roof had their heads chopped off with the exception of one hidden in the corner.The font is covered with angels and symbols of the evangelists, with lions around the bottom. There is some remains of early stained glass though the heads of the angels have been scratched off.

In the care of the Churches Conservation Trust, remote round towered church with herringbone brick vestibule and original candle holders on the pew ends. Timber roof and carved font. Some interesting iron work in the gates.

I visited this beautiful church today as my beloved late grandfather George William Hubbard of Norwich Hubbard Bros" made the all the gates here. It is one of the most picturesque churches I have photographed to date in the East. Well worth a look on a sunny day in April when the blossoms in full bloom! Dani (dani1978)"
