Forth and Clyde Canal
Lovely walkway along canal - one side is better than other to avoid bikes.

Forth and Clyde Canal
This is an absolutely beautiful place to take a walk, cycle, jog ect. Especially at this time of year. Not only are there some of the most picturesque views but there are lots of different wildlife, From ducks and ducklings and swans and signets to squirrels and several varieties of birds and fish.It can get busy but people are friendly and most know the stay to the left rule wich is particularly important here because many cyclists use the paths alongside the canals too.The local authorities finished a wild life sanctuary recently which enables easy travel through 3 areas which had not been joined for over 300 years. The bridge is lit up with colourful lights at night and is absolutely beautiful to see. A walk along the canal is a great way to have a nice day out without it costing money too!

Forth and Clyde Canal
A really nice place to walk, as well as being a genuinely useful route between different parts of the city.

Walked from The Helix in Grangemouth all the way to the River Clyde at the other end. Some surprisingly lovely scenery and local wildlife made it very enjoyable.

You can explore this tranquil route by boat, canoe, bicycle or on foot. Choose your pick or try every way ☺ It's perfect for family outings. One will find thriving wildlife and a variety of flora and fauna spanned across the canal. You will also come across the newly opened Stockingfield Bridge. I haven't been able to complete the full route (till Edinburgh). I really am excited to try it out soon though. However, there are a lot of pot holes and rough patches that Council ought to fix ASAP.Sharing a few pictures.....

Clyde canal, pedestrian and cycle crossing. Somewhat in need of renovation. However, it is useful for someone who prefers to travel on foot or by bike
