I booked a Mature Skin Make Up Lesson with Colette. She was absolutely lovely and put me at ease straight away. She guided me through the lesson giving me lots of tips on my skincare regime and showed me how to apply my makeup to suit my skin tone, face shape and did not overcomplicate it. I have recommended her to all of my friends and will definitely be back for another lesson soon. Thank you Colette.

I had been wanting to update my makeup look and techniques for a while. And a wedding invitation was the nudge I needed to book a daytime makeup lesson with Colette.She's got a lovely warm personality and really knows her stuff. We mainly used the makeup I already have and she was very helpful with a suggestions of what else I could buy - mainly a few more eye make up brushes!I feel a lot more confident now with my makeup. My lesson was definitely money very well spent and I highly recommend Colette.

I had always wanted a make up lesson. At 63, I felt I was still doing my makeup as I had always done. But as usual I did nothing about it. Then at Christmas my husband presented me with a voucher for Colette!! I have no idea where he found her but knowing him, a lot of research was done to find the one he thought was best. Travelling a distance wasn’t an issue! I was very nervous the night before. Colette tells you what to bring, your brushes, ahh, I don’t use brushes, I use my fingers! Take your make up bag and skin products you use. I looked at my make up bag and thought what on earth will she think of that. I needn’t have worried. Colette is a lovely, non judgmental person. She put me fully at ease from the moment I arrived. She has great patience. Using brushes did not come naturally to me. She did one side of my face and I did the other. She explained why certain brushes were used for the part you were doing. I now know what colours are best for my eyes and lips and what to avoid. How to do my eyes for my eye shape. This takes practice, I am better but still a way to perfection. I learned that the makeup primer I used was not for my skin type. My foundation was full coverage which I thought was the look I wanted and had used for years. Colette advised me that I didn’t need full coverage, my skin was good. She used a water based one whichImmediately brightened up my skin, gave it a dewy glow and instantly made me younger looking. If you are in 2 minds about doing this. Do it!! You won’t regret it. Look forward to it and don’t be like me being apprehensive. Following my appointment, Colette sent me a comprehensive email detailing everything she did, what brushes she used, what colours, what make of product. It’s like listening to her all over again. There is so much to take in, there is no way anyone could remember it all. This email is as important as the lesson itself. She really does put a lot of work into your lesson.

I booked a mature make up lesson with Colette in preparation for my son’s wedding in Australia. Colette is very professional in her approach and takes time to explain the use of different products. She comes across as being very knowledgeable and passionate about make up. I was very impressed by the comprehensive notes she gave after the session, which I can refer to in the future. I thoroughly enjoyed my time with Colette who is a very warm and caring person. Highly recommended!

Colette is absolutely lovely and is also an amazing make-up artist. I had a pre wedding trial make-up session with Colette and as Mother of the bride, I wanted a natural look which Colette perfected. Such an informative session before the wedding and I learned so much! Loved the results and Colette replicated the same look on the morning of the wedding. She kept me calm and I felt a million dollars on the day! I cannot recommend Colette highly enough - such a lovely, warm person and so professional in her approach to her job which she loves and is so very talented at. I am 76 years old and hadn't used make up for about 30 years so I approached my gift lesson with some trepidation. I needn't have been concerned: Colette was reassuring and calm, taking time to take me through the various steps, advising on colours and products and making me feel good!

Hands down one of the best 2.5hrs i have had when it comes to all things makeup.As someone who isn’t a big make up person, i have found myself facing the uphill challenge of doing my own bridal makeup.Colette was so helpful, listened to my asks worked with what i had already only suggesting a few minimal tops ups to my make up bad and also adjusted throughout the session to what i was able to do more confidently. Despite being a bridal session I felt the techniques, tips and approaches she shared would be applicable for all things make up.I would really recommend this for anyone that feels a little overwhelmed with how to get make up to work right for them….. Colette is really knowledgeable is able to translate that into day to day make up tips and tricks.

I cannot recommend Colette highly enough. She did my bridal makeup, makeup for my mum - Mother of the bride - and my 2 bridesmaids. Colette is exceptionally talented and versatile. She immediately put us all at ease, particularly as we hadn’t all had makeup done professionally before. She has such a warm, friendly disposition, which she combines seamlessly with skill and professionalism. She is also extremely organised. Her knowledge and expertise is evident, and she combined this with our own requests and preferences to create individualised looks for us all. Colette skilfully used the trials to perfect the looks and make some small but crucial tweaks to the makeup to ensure it was perfect on the day, which it was. As soon as I met Colette and we did the trial I had total confidence and faith in Colette that the wedding makeup would be perfect. We were all absolutely delighted with the final results - our makeup lasted the whole day, and amazingly still looked completely flawless after many hours, including eating, drinking and dancing! She gave us some really fantastic personalised tips and tricks for during the day itself, but also for makeup in general. Colette’s very warm, kind, and down-to-earth nature meant that she very quickly felt like she was part of our gang - it felt like we had known her for years! - and I will always have such fond memories of her involvement in our special morning as we got ready for the big day. My Mum and I are already so looking forward to returning to do a makeup lesson with Colette. I cannot thank her enough for the huge role she played in our special day, and will always be grateful to her. Colette is truly one in a million!
