A welcome break from shopping (in attached supermarket) and to do the crossword with a cup of very good coffee and some cake. Staff always friendly and helpful.

Absolutely appalling. Gone totally down hill. No freshly cooked food only precooked bacon/sausages in rolls reheated in microwave. This place used to be packed at lunchtimes and in the mornings, there were four people there at lunchtime on Friday19th August......not surprising.Various egg dishes on menu, but had run out of eggs - even though Waitrose sell eggs - it's a joke. Definitely will not be going back. I think Waitrose are intending to close it.

Please guys be nice about staff!They do there best and remember you must have started a job onceI visited cafe other day!Beverley, Jovi was lovely.Spoke to manager and gave praise for them.Remember without staff turning up for work when retail is the most hard job with abuse from customers.Not nice day in and out.I worked for 26 years in this trade .I would rather wait for my food that is hot than not cooked through probably .Please be kind

Always good service and great selection of all foods. Easy to use store thanks to convenient parking. By far my favourite Waitrose to visit in London

Beautiful waitrose with a great selection of food and a terrific cafe.Only downside is if your a member of BAME community, you will end up being followed by one of the security personnel. Honestly, they are pretty obvious about it. Although, the last time this week was a bit better at it. My child attends a nearby school, so sometimes I will pop in for a shop and a coffee. Each time, I am followed by one of the security members. Last time, I honestly felt like going up to the guy and say here are my credit cards, I have a lot of money to pay for all these items.Honestly, I don't have this problem at the canary wharf waitrose or South Kensington one. I just wanna grab my sushi, some lovely fruit and appetisers and lovely duck eggs. And than sit and enjoy my lovely cup of coffee served by the 2 wonderful ladies in the cafe.

Was happy with the store until I placed an online order for groceries, and received everything with a best by date of 1/2 a day to 2 days. I truly believe that they are taking the mickey and fobbed off everything they didn't sell. My delivery was last night:(My last orders from them were only long shelf life products, nothing short term, which was fine.As everything was for our newborns, we have no chance to use them within 24 hours.Shame on them, Tesco and Co-op value their customers and use some common sense when picking items. Getting their garbage and being charged full price for the privilege is not acceptable.I will probably use them for non perishable food as I did before.

Not impressed lately the cafe has really gone down hill the servers look confused the pastries are dry the toast so hard it's enedible.. And at check out no one comes to help the light is on I can see two blokes in suits who are clearly too important to actually assist a customer so they ignore.. Waitrose free coffee does not mean standards can slip at your prices!

Waitrose Cafe South Woodford
I've recently started using this store for my weekly shop. Shame Waitrose no longer offers free coffee here, as being a coffee lover this was what made me move away from Sainsbury's in the first place ;-(I suppose like most things free, people will take advantage, but it was good while it lasted. The staff here provide excellent service, that's when you can find one who's not already serving.
