River Nails

Excellent service. The guys pay real attention to detail. I know a lot of reviews say they are unfriendly and rude but that has never been my experience. They don’t do general chit chat but that’s a cultural thing. I have my acrylic nails and eyebrows done here and the quality has always been good.

Went here first time for my acrylics absolutely shocked in how bad their service was. Whilst he was filing them he was pulling and yanking my hands which was unnecessary at all. The staff were all very rude and not welcoming at all cant believe people actually go here. The acrylic he had put on was bent from one side when repeatedly telling him to to fix the problem he was ignoring me and and had a horrible attitude on him. Every-time i asked for extra he kept on bringing the wrong colours and asking for more money. After wasting 2 hours of my time he then clipped my nails of and told us to get out of his shop. If you are in leeds do not go here they're over priced, rude and not professionally mannered.

Although he did a good job of my nails, everything else was terrible. Tried to charge me £75 for a set of acrylics with gel, and a quick file and polish with gel on my toes. When asked as to why he charged me £40 for my toes, he tried to convince me (to no avail) and others in the shop that I had been in the foot spa and had the works!! He also explained gel is £15 extra which is not clear on any price list.They also do not use genuine shellac, it is a cheap gel bought over from china, be warned ladies!! He was rude, and could not do any nail art for me, huffed and puffed when I asked for things to be tidied up or neatened.

Shellac Nails lasted very well, they lasted for over 4 weeks!

Had shellac nails done for £15. Price fair howeverSalon felt a bit grubby. Didnt have a good manicure. Starting to peel at 2 weeks. Normally last atleast 3 weeks when done at other salons. Also only accept cash so needed to go to cashpoint before appt. Bit disappointed.

Second time ive given this place a chance only to be disappointed yet again. Using the dregs of the bottle of shellac and all chipped within 2 day. Definately wont be a third chance from me.

Great job on my shellac and great price. Good that you don't need to book as it's impossible to get a last minute appointment at other salons in the area.I would give this place 5* if the service was a little better, if you could pay by card (though I suspect this keeps prices low) and if the tools were kept in an alcohol solution between clients for cleanliness (though not many places I've been to seem to do this) .

wish there was a shut down the shop option. such an awful appointment, asked for a complete different colour and they wouldn't let me have my nails the length i wanted or they would be ugly" according to the man. couldn't understand customers and had to google translate everything me and & my friend were saying. went back and they were going to make me pay extra money for them to fix their own mistakes which they constantly said was my own fault? another woman that worked there also started shouting at me and my friend when she had nothing to do with the situation. never going back there

Great colour choice and speedy service

My sister went to the one in Leeds yesterday to get a full set of acrylics done to treat herself because it was her 16th birthday. She’s come home and said they are very flimsy and one has already come off. I do not recommend this place at all and will definitely not be going back.
