Nice little bridge. Currently some works are going on, so you don’t get to see the full beauty of the place.

Nice bridge with a scenic view of the river

One of my favourite bridges in Cambridge. It is known to students as 'Orgasm Bridge' as the steep incline of the Bridge's arc gives to the cyclist upon the passing of its summit such a feeling as to resemble that or orgasm. Having frequently crossed it by bike myself in my student days I can attest to similar feelings when whooshing down and slaloming between the tourists.It's a great place to take photos with beautiful views of Mathematical Bridge, Trinity Bridge, and Claire Bridge, so long as one is aware of the fact that cyclists and other pedestrians are also using it as a thoroughfare to get to and from the city centre.A great way to see the Bridge is from below, aboard a punt or other suitable riverine vessel - an opportunity that should not be missed if one is visiting Cambridge.One of the most beautiful times to visit is the early morning when the only others present are those on the way to rowing and the keenest of students making for the library. Coming towards town the Claire library is one that shouldn't be missed and a very photogenic Cambridge spot!

Great looking architecture and a beautiful view

Coming there on the weekend and there were not too many visitors. It was a great place to enjoy the view.

It's a bridge. It gets you from one side of the river to the other. By foot or bike. Also comes equipped for pooh-sticks (sticks not included). Birds-eye views of punters included (in-season) (Cornetto not included). Air conditioning can be a little aggressive in Winter. Other bridges over the Cam have their own benefits, but none of them connects these particular bits of land, so it's the very best bridge for this location, hands down.(Disclosure: I do not receive sponsorship from the bridge or its owners or affiliates or anybody else, unfortunately, although I'm fully open to offers).

Garret Hostel Bridge (1960). At least the eighth bridge on this site on Garret Hostel Lane between the colleges of Trinity and Trinity Hall. The current design is by Timothy Guy Morgan, who at the time was an undergraduate student at Jesus College, after an open competition. Morgan died in 1960, before the bridge was completed. It was one of the first post-tensioned concrete bridges in the country. Known to students locally as “orgasm bridge'
