I recently sold my vehicle through The Market and didn’t have the greatest of experience. Be careful when listening to advice on how best to sell.David was very quick to respond when I was first interested but after the sale never replied.With 30 minutes left of the auction I was made aware by a question on the sale that in the video the car made a horrible noise a few moments after starting the car. This noise has never occurred before and certainly wasn’t the engine but either background noise or something else. However on the video it didn’t sound good and probably put off potential buyers leaving the final sale price very low!Make sure you check your listing when selling!!

After not meeting the reserve through their auction, they were reluctant to re-list the car at a lower reserve and only wanted to do it at no reserve! After I had invested nearly £400 with them for their 'concierge service' I was left feeling gutted and obviously I wasn't prepared to take that sort of risk. Thank God in the end I got almost double what the auction reached on The Market through my own private sale, which earned me a healthy profit.Be careful they will try to persuade you with 'professional advice' which may well be the wrong advice.

I have bought and sold using the market and have nothing but praise for their professionalism and efficiency. The sale price they achieved for my vehicle exceeded my expectations by over 25%. When purchasing you should expect to pay the going rate and when you buy from ‘The Market’ you can be assured that what you pay is what it’s worth. This is in direct contrast to other sites who charge buyers fees which means that straight away you pay more that the actual value of the vehicle. I have attempted to buy cars using other sites but always feel the pressures of sellers trying to sell. This is not the case with ‘The Market’ who’s honesty and openness is refreshing to say the least. I met up with Mark at their HQ again yesterday and he helpfully walked me through the current stock giving me honest and open opinion on all the vehicles, regrettably I can feel a bid coming on!

I sold a 1967 Frontline-modified MGB GT using the services provided by The Market.Their people have considerable expertise in helping vendors set a realistic estimate and reserve price, they prepare an excellent vehicle description, provide professional photographs and go the extra mile to secure a sale for their customers.In addition, their people are good at keeping sellers updated with progress and can be contacted, in need, out of hours.As a bonus, the commission charged is very reasonable and there is no buyer's premium.Unreservedly recommended.

Successfully sold a car though the market so when is was time to sell my much cherished motorbike, I had no hesitation in using The Market again. I was put through to John, the motorbike specialist, who research on the bike was first class. Would strongly recommend anyone who has a valued motorbike to sell to contact John.

I recently bought a 50-yr old highly-modified British car through The Market and shipped it to the USA. It was my first time importing a car, but not my first time buying a classic car online.The pros about The Market: fast email responses and tons of pictures (including video of the car running).The cons:I feel that the vehicle was misrepresented in two ways. First, the seller was stated as 'james harvey', but on the V5C (English title) the owner is actually Danny Bennett. Danny is an employee of a dealership that James owns, and that dealer's name is on the Bill of Sale. I was under the impression when I was bidding on this vehicle that I was buying it from a private individual, not a dealer. That wasn't disclosed to me until *after* I won the auction, and I suspect that this is illegal. Alternatively, Bring a Trailer clearly states private individual or dealer for each auction.The other misrepresentation has to do with the overall condition of the car. The auction page states that It was built by a skilled mechanic/engineer"
