Kippilaw House

This is a fantastic place for a large group stay. I haven't used it for a wedding, but my extended family has gathered three generations from all over the UK and all been able to sit down to dinner in the dining room! Well equipped kitchen. Lots of accommodation options and things to do in the surrounding area!

Kippilaw was the perfect venue for our Christmas away day. Lil was extremely accommodating of our requests and put on a beautiful festive meal in the evening. Her staff were lovely and the food delicious. The perfect relaxed atmosphere for a great Christmas party.

Absolutely loved my stay at Kippilaw House for a yoga retreat this weekend. It is a beautiful house with lovely bedrooms, each with its own personality. The grounds are great to explore for a nice scenic walk, and could also completely relax in the hot tub looking over the gardens. The vegetarian menu prepared for us was so delicious, faultless!! Catered really well for vegan and gluten free too! Felt so pampered and looked after. I wish I was still there, it was a fantastic stay from start to finish! Thank you so much x

Recently had our wedding here and it was absolutely fantastic. Lil and Rachel worked with us to plan an amazing experience. Thanks to the hot weather, we were able to get married outside and it was beautiful. My partner and I didn't have to worry about a thing on the day, absolutely everything was handled for us. Food was delicious with delicious options for all dietary requirements. We actually had a full vegetarian menu and it was delicious. So many options to pick from as opposed to just adding veggie options as an afterthought. The sharing pavlova also went down a treat with everyone (including those who had to have dairy free options!). We had lots of freedom and flexibility to decorate and design our day too Thanks again to all!

We had our wedding here in Autumn 2022 and it was a perfect day. Everything from the beautiful and quirky accommodation to the delicious food and assistance from the staff on the day was great. In particular Rachel was fabulous, helpful and calm throughout the day.If you are looking for a unique country house location and a relaxed wedding vibe we would definitely recommend Kippilaw!

We got married at Kippilaw House and had the best time ever. Rachel was the best, she was super helpful the whole time and made us feel very comfortable. We didn’t feel any pressure to do anything we didn’t want to as we skipped a lot of traditional things that didn’t match with who we are.They were amazing at changing the menu for some of the guest with allergies. The food was lovely and everybody enjoyed it. It was really nice to stay overnight with our friends and family, it made our wedding really special.If you want a special place for your wedding ceremony we HIGHLY recommend the ancient tree. It was magical.

Kippilaw is such a fantastic wedding venue with the most wonderful staff. We had to go pretty much blind into booking (we managed a quick visit but no tasting) but Lil and Rachel are such brilliant people to trust and the day was truly magical with such delicious food (genuinely the food was all the guests could talk about and the portions were very generous)! The house is so beautiful and comfortably accommodated 37 of us. We also brought along a karaoke machine and was in the front room with it and there was minimal noise throughout the rest of the house which was great for my grandparents who went to bed a bit earlier. Thank you very much Lil, Douglas and Rachel, you’re amazing!!!!!!!!!!

I cannot have imagined a better wedding venue than Kippilaw. The accommodation was beautiful and comfortable, food was excellent, and the grounds are lovely. But the thing that made Kippilaw really stand out from other venues was the owner, Lil, who ran our day to perfection. Throughout the year-long planning process, she was happy to discuss new ideas we came up with, advise us on what was a waste of money and what would be worth spending on to make the day special, and ran everything perfectly with her lovely staff on the day. Thank you so much, Lil -- we'll be back!

I was lucky enough to photograph an awesome wedding at Kippilaw House recently. It's such an awesome venue and a perfect location for a wedding. Great staff and a very warm welcome. Highly recommended.
