Chingford Delivery Office

How is the Royal Mail still in business the service is abysmal. A parcel was said to have been delivered (on the RM tracker) to me when I was out and can prove where I was. On the seller's website it is the next day. Trying to get through to the delivery office by phone is impossible. I cannot go to there myself until tomorrow (11 November 2022) because guess what...I'm waiting for Royal Mail to collect a parcel for return. Why Amazon have chosen to use Royal Mail for this I cannot fathom because it was delivered by an alternative delivery service? And, if Royal Mail is the preferred choice why not allow me to take to the post office where I can get a receipt?18 July 2023: Why is it not possible to give -0 stars. I have visited this sorting office twice in two days to collect items they were unable to deliver because I was out. The first day Monday I was told the two items were out to be re-delivered the next day, apparently this is now procedure. I was not going to be home on Monday so I returned today Tuesday at 11:00 only to find the sorting office shut even though it states online open until 14:00. I'm waiting for items for a funeral on Thursday so I hope they are open at 08:00 as stated online or I'll have to break in :-(

Royal Mail is a joke, they have quite literally never delivered a parcel that couldn’t fit through my letterbox in a year of living here, and every time I’ve had to come all the way to chingford to get it. Exceptionally lazy delivery drivers, sooner they get put out of business the better.

Checked the website for opening and closing times, it said this place was open until 2pm.Got there at 1.45pm only to find out that it closed at 10am!Would help everyone if the website was updated to prevent wasting peoples time.Even the card posted through my letter box didn't provide the new opening and closing times.So I have posted a picture of them on this post so that others dont waste their time until someone at this branch updates it.Not rocket science!

Awful service, I missed a delivery and I came here to collect the same day and discovered they are closed now at 10am. At that time the driver hadn't even attempted to deliver so how am I supposed to collect it the same day? Its a non sense. If I could give 0 stars I would

Says it closes at 2pm on Friday went there at 11 and it was closed. You never know when you can go pick up your items.

Royal Mail must die as business. The sooner the better.Worst delivery service in UK.

Opening hours are just not suitable for the general population who work the normal hours.Also whenever they miss a delivery, they do not leave a card with information on where or who to go to. Unprofessional and a joke of a service.

Item was attempted once, was not home. Received a text advising me to arrange a re-delivery, which I did to the nearest post office. The idiotic postman attempted to deliver it to my property again - which is not what I requested! Other times they literally dump my mail right outside. Somebody needs sacking!

I have arranged re delivery 3 times of a parcel which needs a signature for it since the first week of December. Not delivered on any occasion.Still no joy, I can't even collect it from the sorting office as they are never open.Now reached the 18 days when the card states they will return the parcel if not delivered or collected.Dreadful service.Only gave 1 star as I couldn't leave this review without giving it the star.
