Has everything you can ever want from a community centre and more with such facilities like the library, the swimming pool and even climbing walls. Events really emphasise the community, with example being their monthly Crafts fares, always bringing in great makers.

Son tried to take children swimming this week as he usually does. Only to be told that he has to book slots. Gone onto their website only to be sent round and round the website. What's happened to good customer service

I use the library but it's so much more than a library -- it's the best community centre I've seen in the world; and I've been to over 20 countries. The library is good, busy, full of children, old people, teens and people like me seeking a quiet place to work. The staff are helpful. The cafe does great coffee and cake but I've never tried anything else there. It's the only library I've ever heard about that has a pool in the basement, a climbing wall in the hall and a host of huge rooms down the corridor where people do kung-fu, dancing, yoga, ping pong and goodness knows what else. And it continues outside where they have two big carparks, a huge kids play area (really busy in the mornings), tennis courts and about three football pitches that are floodlit and really busy at night. Why doesn't every town have a place like this? I've never seen such good use of public money, and considering we all pay taxes (except the likes of Amazon and Facebook) why aren't there more places offering this dizzying range of services? This small town community centre is a model for the rest of the world.

Gym equipment is old, rusty and a lot of the weights area have electric machines which no longer turn on. Machines area is all very basic. There is ample running and cycling equipment but only a small amount of room where there are weights and cable machines. The result of this is that only one or two running machines are in use and that room is mainly empty, while the weights room is always full and you have to wait to be able to use anything. The pool is decent and operates absolutely fine. The system for doing laps in each lane works nicely but I can't help but feel that there doesn't need to be as many lanes as there are.Vending machines are too expensive. Toilets are often closed for cleaning but have nobody in them. Staff are usually friendly and there is a self check in machine at the entrance for gym use.Sauna and wellness rooms have been closed which is unfortunate.Car park facility is absolutely fine as there is a massive overflow at the back of the building. You will always find a space somewhere around.

Kids loved it less for adults unless there's an event happening

Springfield Community Campus is happy to take on new children to it's swimming classes, but with our adequate cover. We were first regularly cancelled before they closed the class my son was on, and when he was moved to a different day after just two classes, there was another cancellation due to no teachers.A complete joke, and complete disregard that people are not just sat at home waiting for something to do, but do actually need to plan for attendance. It's just a shame they don't offer the same courtesy.

Looking for somewhere to take our 3yr old granddaughter. Tried to find out softplay times / prides on line to no avail. On calling the centre the staff could not have bean more pleasant and helpful. This was also the case when we got there. The soft play was for very young children and all fell into that category so no over biostrous play which was great for us.We then visited the library, children section is well laid out, safe and really clean. While at the library there was a story reading/sing along which was great. In all a really nice experience. We were hoping to start her swimming but unfortunately Wednesdays are lane only sessions which is a pity.
