I had to give this place a star,but that was simply to activate this review. In short,last night was the third time I’ve phones Dawley house Chinese,first and second time i decided the waiting time quoted was to long 1h15min so i thanked him anyway and went elsewhere,last night i placed an order and was told just over an hour,i was also quoted a price of about £3 more than my local Chinese,i decided to go for it anyway. I waited 1h40min then phoned to see if there was a problem,they said it’s just on its way. I’m in Madeley,the take away is Dawley= 2miles ish,i waited another 20 mins,then phoned again voicing my displeasure then went to my local take away. So it your up for a 2hour wait then a stroll down to your local this place is for you

Ordered a special chow mein, unfortunately when I got it home I discovered it was a dry one, not one with sauce added.The business was taken over twelve months ago, so I now know to ask for sauce next time.Not as many different ingredients, only thin noodles, not many different meats.

Ordered for the first time today having moved into the area recently and i must say the food was beautiful , very tasty ,beautifully cooked and presented, delivered quickly and piping hotWould highly recommend and will definitely be ordering regularly !!!Well done !!!

i am a food lover. i eat food wherever i go and rarely don’t like it, there are probably only about 5 specific foods i don’t actually like. i love all food always. but i just made my first order from here, i got 4 things for myself totalling to £20 just for me, the same order i get every time i go to a chinese, and this is the first time i have hardly touched any of my food. the chicken wasn’t nice, the rice was oily but dry, and the chips were undercooked and plain not even salted, generally just unpleasant to eat. the only thing that was nice was the chicken chow mein. i genuinely tried forcing myself to eat the order regardless, but i genuinely couldn’t which is very abnormal for me. considering it’s not exactly cheap, it’s really tasteless and rubbish. wouldn’t order from here again, i have never disliked a food place before!

My order came to over £50, I was expecting excellent food for such a high rating. I was disgisted as the order was delivered incomplete, when I called to get it rectified I was called a liar and the food was disgusting, the sweet and sour ribs were dry and tasted old, the chow mein was dry with no sauce and the cantonese sauce tasted vile and nothing like I've had before, I will NEVER order from there again, also they trade under 3 different names, 1) Rainbow Garden, 2) China City and 3) Dawley House, even a 1 star rating is 1 star too much

Unfortunately after using this Chinese for a very long time the service has become appalling. Over the course of the last 6 months we have constantly been over charged, wrong orders have been sent only to have them collect the order bk from us and resend ours, orders have been taken wrong only for us to ring up and be met by the rude person on the other end telling us no u didn’t ask for this etc. it’s a real shame as the food is actually nice it’s just the very poor unprofessional and unfriendly lady who takes the orders. We did try to speak with her but she was absolutely obnoxious. Had she of apologised we would have continued to used but made sure we were charged correctly in future. All my family also used this Chinese but have sadly over the last year also stopped using them.

We’ve just ordered from here for the first time. The lady who answered the phone was lovely, the guy who delivered was super polite & the food was sooo tasty and boiling hot! We waited for about 60-70 minutes but it was well worth it. I ordered chicken curry, egg fried rice, salt/chilli chips and chicken balls. It was really delicious and the chicken balls are the best ones we’ve tried! It was full of flavour and we will definitely be ordering from here again. Great service and even better food! ⭐️

We had sirloin steak mushroom and chips and I must say I was pleasantly surprised. Also came with a pot of gravy peas and fried onions. The steak melted in my mouth, really nice for a Chinese.

Don't get what other reviews saying they are rude and people called a liar if something was missing as iv never had a rude moment even if I do a late order before they close. On all of the orders I have had only once something was missing I called up they apologised and was really polite and it was sent out asap. Food is always spot on. Service is amazing. Will always definitely recommend this takeaway to anyone.
