Butterwick Bakery Oakham

Everyone is so nice and lovely to their customers, it’s a brilliant place to stop by get a sweet treat and even if the queue is out the door I got served within 5 minutes and waited 2 while it got packed! They have such good prices for such amazing cakes but overall I love this place and would highly recommend, love the idea of pupachinos and pup cakes so they don’t feel left out and I love that it’s dog friendly. Everyone is so lovely I recommend the old skool traybake it’s such a simple cake but tastes AMAZING!!!!

Convenient place to stop for a coffee. Only seating is bar stools but great for takeaway and for a short stop. Clean, friendly, wide selection of cakes. Excellent service.

I wanted to try for a very long time the doughnuts from here as the picture looks lovely! Went in, nobody welcome me in, I had to say hello how are you continuing with my order, I had 2 doughnuts and a cinnamon fritter, the doughnuts were not fresh, were a bit hard :/ a bit disappointed with them tbh. I’ll give it another go other time.

Lovely coffee and great design. I love sitting here just watching the world go by. Staff always friendly and helpful. There are however a couple of minor niggles:1) Needs some sort of modesty screen on the lower part of the window where the seats are all bar stools at a fixed bar height table running the full length of the cafe.2) They only sell cakes, so no breakfast options. Even a basic range of croissants, pain au chocolate etc would be welcome.3) Service can be slow, coffee takes a long time to make so if there's a queue you can be waiting 10 minutes for your drink.
