We celebrated a double birthday here and absolutely loved it. We had a designated area set out for us, Kieran and the staff made sure we were well looked after really gave the personal touch.The food was lovely, generous sized portions and well priced. Made me wonder why I ever left the North!I'm sure a lot of us will be visiting again.

Food was decent - I had chicken liver pate which was nice and lamb shank, which was good but not great, I had to season it to get flavour out of the meat but the cooking of it was great. The gravy was really good. Service was a bit slow but there was 8 of us, the atmosphere was absolutely fine again nothing special but just fine.

I am ceoliac, my food has to be gluten free. The chef was very helpful and went through the menu. There was plenty of choice. Food came beautifully cooked and was very tasty. Prices not too bad will go again very soon.

Lovely pub, friendly staff and yummy food!We visited last night on a weekend trip to Manchester after seeing it on our drive to our hotel. We called and asked if they offered gluten free options which they did! We were late getting to Manchester so didn’t manage to get there until 8:43pm and last orders for food is at 8:45pm, the very kind bar staff agreed to let us order and the chef popped out to inform us of the gluten free options. Our food was delivered to our table within 10 minutes and was absolutely delicious!! Would highly recommend and will definitely return when I next go to Manchester! Lovely relaxed atmosphere too! Thank you!!

Had a great night. Venue was picked at random as we're not from the area. It was a great choice, food was fantastic with very ample portions and reasonable prices.Lots of choice on the menu and. Huge selection of drinks available.Staff were friendly and attentive. Very highly recommended.

It was so cold in the room some people were wearing their coats. We hadn't been to eat here for quite a while and it has changed a lot. The fish and chips and the fish medley were disappointing. The lamb hotpot was fine.

A small family (7) get together - we all enjoyed our late lunch. Excellent food & service.A traditional pub adjoined to a modern restaurant extension suits most visitors.
