CBHUK - The Council of British Hajjis

My husband and I went on Hajj with a USA group as we are US citizens. When we were due to depart for the US my husband started vomiting and complaining of a severe pain in his abdomen. I tried to get physician's assistance, but unfortunately was unable to do so as there were no doctors in the US groups. Alhamdullilah, brother Rashid was in the right place at the right time and able to assist me. He requested that I go with him as their group had a doctor. He asked the doctor to meet us in my husband’s room where Dr. Ibrahim diagnosed suspected kidney stones. Upon his suggestion we went to the hospital which meant missing our flight for health reasons. The UK Hajj council volunteer guide, Br. Rashid did not have to go out of his way, but showed us exactly how a Muslim should help another brother or sister in distress in their time of need. In addition both brother Rashid and Dr. Ibrahim continued to check to on my husband for the remainder of our stay. The UK Hajj Council should be extremely proud of their volunteers for the service they provide to their groups and also to their fellow hujjaj. Jazak Allaahu Khairan for being there for us and lightening our burden during our time of distress.
