I went to go and visit a dog we are hoping to adopt. I drove an hour and a half to get there and it was so worth it.I was welcomed with a smile and some information on the beautiful boy. The centre was clean and seemed to be run really well. We went through all the formalities before meeting him. All the dogs I saw being walked around the grounds were all well behaved and looked very well looked after. You can see the time and effort that goes into taking care of the animals. All the staff look like they have a passion for their roles and really love on them all.I met (hopefully) my future son, he will be big, spoiled and beautiful. I am so looking forward to going back with my family and bringing him home.Thank you all for the great work you do, you all are appreciated.

Fantastic service from the team. We recently adopted a dog and were thoroughly impressed with the whole process. The introductory visits were led by staff who knew the dog well and her history and mannerisms. Also a fantastic shop with second-hand pet items so we could stock up and fund a worthy charity at the same time. Highly recommended rescue centre.

I found the whole process of adopting my new cat dealt with entirely professionally, with his best interests clearly uppermost, yet with the right balance of courtesy and friendliness. The centre itself is light, open and airy with a feeling of space- as well it might do, amidst the countryside!Recommended.

Wanted To Rehome A Dog Named Sacha, A Belgian Shepherd. As A 58yr Old Previous Experienced Dog Owner Who's Rehomed From RSPCA Before. I Was Told That Because My Grandkids Aged 13 & 15 Visit 1 Day A Month For One Day, That The Dog May Bite Them & They Would Be Held Accountable. If The Dog Bit Them I Would Not Report It, I'm Absolutely Disgusted That I Was Willing To Rehome A Dog Which Is Obviously Locked Up In A Cage & Could Have Come To A Loving Home With 3 Acres Of Land & Would Have Been Loved & Well Looked After. Shame On You RSPCA Blackberry Farm.

This is an excellent animal rescue centre, extremely well run, clean and hygienic, with comfortable, spacious individual accommodation for the cats, a lovely duck pond and rather less appealing large noisy crowded concrete pens for the dogs. They have rabbit hutches too.Unfortunately the attraction that persuaded us to adopt several cats from this centre over the years is no longer available to local visitors. We used to be able to walk up and down the accommodation, viewing the cats in their pods and interacting with them, choosing one that responded to us and we liked the look and personality of.Unfortunately the centre is continuing to be closed to visitors due to covid restrictions, making it almost impossible to find a suitable pet this way. The website makes it equally difficult, as the way it is set up makes it very hard to find, see or adopt any animals on there. Possibly due to this difficulty they have been overwhelmed by a flood of unwanted animals since covid and the cost of living rise made it difficult for people to keep their pets. This is a massive shame as we used to love visiting the cats there and looking for a new furry friend. Most of our cats are rescues. I very much hope this lovely centre will be able to reopen to the public in the near future!

A great place to work as a volunteer. Animals are very well looked after as are the volunteers. Friendly and helpful staff who are very knowledgeable too. They’re also compassionate and show humility when you drop off items that used to belong to a recently departed much loved pet.(I know this as a pet owner, it’s how I became a volunteer)Word of Advice: if you’ve not been to the centre before, the entrance sits just past a bend and back from the road. It’s easy to drive past it!
