An unexpected delight... park up for free... walk straight into a beautiful woodland with a large variety of trees and twisting paths...then find yourself at the river with good wildlife a small pebbly beach and amazing views of the awesome Orwell Bridge! Highly recommend!

Great park for an amble walk which can be quite hilly in places & quite dense with trees but there are loads of paths to stick to just keep your bearings in check so you don't get lost lol.Nice shoreline to walk along to that looks across to the Orwell Bridge as shown in my photo. Car park can get busy at peak times but its worth a look if you fancy a walk out & never been, dogs are welcome but must be on a lead.

Orwell Country Park Car Park
Orwell country park is a large park running along side the river, it has a variety of areas and landscapes. We went to Bridge wood which has a lovely woodland to walk around and the river shoreline to walk along.

A beautiful place to visit, car park with 40 or so spaces, then a woodland walk leading to a river walk with a beach. Muddy on winter days so wrap up, but amazing views. Also resident Peregrine can sometimes be seen in summer months under the bridge. Lovely place to picnic and for family walks, also very popular amongst dog walkers.

A really nice area to park for a walk in the park. Not a large carpark but it is possible to find a space. There are some tables and benches if you want to have a picnic. The best aspect is that it is free.

A little bit small for a popular walking place but there is plenty of space to park off road on the lead up to the car park.

Beautiful walk whatever the weather, I love taking my grandchildren here and have long walks with my Dog.
