Either utter ineptitude of an administration team or some sort of corruption that is happening at the tiers between the front desk to judge's oversight. Actual legal procedures are being thrown out the window and cases aren't properly examined. Honestly, if there is an internal or external investigation team that could look over this place, I would highly suggest that be done.Edit to update: Apparently after winning a civil case due to the opposition having no supporting evidence of their claim, they are somehow able to get an appeal still WITHOUT producing supporting evidence. This is wasting the time of all parties involved. Please can an external body investigate this institution thoroughly.

Never answer the blasted phone!

Staff rarely answer the phone at Exeter County Court, the receiver seems to be picked up and put straight down again often, which is frustrating and impolite. Staff at Exeter Court Court are lax at sending out orders, can take weeks and even arrive after hearing dates!The opening hours would help people trying to get in contact. . . .

Not a single member of the judiciary banged a gavel or shouted, “Order, order. I will have order in the court.” Had I known that I’d be so poorly served by HMCTS, I’d not have committed all those crimes in the first place.

Have called several times a day for 5 days, even called up different departments but to no avail. What's the point in having a contact number if no one picks up.

Phone system is rubbish, listened to options, pressed correct number and sent back to beginning, listened to options again, pressed correct one and same result, went round in a circle four times and gave up.

Beware accepting arbitration in small claims disputes. They are NOT there to offer justice or impartiality.The sole aim of the arbitration system is to remove your case from the courts list and they will threaten, cajole, twist and manipulate you in any way to close the case.Honesty and justice are not part of their vocabulary - avoid arbitration.
