Highfield Nursery School

Our son has been with Highfield Nursery School and had loved every day there. The nursery is a home away from home and the children are treated like family. As parents, we think it is most important that we completely trust our child's carer, to know our child is safe and is receiving the best foundation that they can through carefully planned activities and play. It has been wonderful to see our child grow in skills and confidence since he's joined the nursery. Lynette and Alec have particularly been marvelous in the way they've handled safeguarding since coronavirus. We've not had any concerns about sending our child back. The intricate planning and co-working with parents made us truly feel involved in shaping decisions that involves our child. We totally recommend the nursery. You wouldn't need to think twice :)

Both my daughters attended this nursery from age 16 months until starting school. They both really enjoyed their time at Witherswood. We found the staff and the owner to be very friendly and approachable, with a caring attitude.The setting is really nice, with a large safe garden, and lots of space in the house.Would definitely recommend!

Both our daughter and our son had a wonderful time at the Highfield Nursery School. It truly is a home from home. Our son was only 4 months old when he started but it was always clear that not only was he looked after perfectly fine, he had a great time, too! I love that he could spend time with his older sister who would drop in and out of his room as she pleased - just like a family! Lynette went more than above and beyond what I would expect from a nursery, stepping in at the most inconvenient time of the year (Christmas Night!) to help us out when we needed help most. I also love the combination of freedom and manners, the optimism and the twinkle in the eye!

Our 3 girls attended Highfield Nursery School from when they were babies to just before attending school. We chose this setting because it is a home from home, all nursery staff get to know all the children well, and will adapt to the needs of the child. All our girls loved going to nursery, all the activities available, the sensory shed, the art room and the lovely outdoor space with plenty of variety of things to play with. On picking up we would often see them having their afternoon tea snack 'all fresco' in fine weather, having a wonderful social time with friends. Our whole family look back on the nursery years very fondly, our youngest just about to start school. The staff gave them all the best start and independence they need for settling in to school. Can highly recommend.

Highfield Nursery has provided excellent care for our son throughout his 3 years of attending. Staff and management worked incredibly hard to ensure his additional needs were met and provided a flexible, nurturing environment where he could learn at his own pace. The family style setting and home cooked meals makes it truly feel like a home from home. We would highly recommend!

We were always greeted by the same friendly staff members and they were all professional, caring and very supportive of our daughters needs. We would highly recommend Highfield Nursery, our daughter absolutely loves attending and really looks forward to the days she is in. Our son is just about to start, which we are sure he will just flourish with the care from the Highfield family. The Nursery is just like an extended family with lovely facilities and such a fabulous garden space. We are always kept well informed and have felt confident in the nursery and their team for our children's return following lockdown. We would not hesitate to recommend this nursery to any of our family or friends.

All three of our children attended Highfield Nursery School stretching over 10 years. It is an exceptional place, well run with a home from home atmosphere. The children still talk very fondly of their time there and all the wonderful staff who cared for them over the years. They always seemed to strike the right balance between care and stimulation, allowing the children to play outside in the beautiful gardens, art room or sensory shed (still remembered with great fondness and laughter by my 11 year old son.) Well done.

A nursery with a real family feel, right down to the family dog! I love it here, it doesn't have the clinical feel which some nurseries do. Home cooked food, a beautiful family garden and a smaller nursery intake combine to give a magical setting where my two children have thrived. I don't hesitate to recommend Highfield nursery school

This nursery has a lovely home from home feel to it, and all the staff and children are lovely. My daughter has been coming since she was a baby and I feel at peace knowing that she is being taken care of by such lovely individuals. Highly recommend!
