The Bull's Head Inn, Beaumaris
We ate here a few years ago and it was brilliant so we decided we would go back on a recent visit. It was totally different food quality and was quite disappointed. Kids mac and cheese seemed to have no cheese in it, the fries were cold and chewy (like they had been sat under a hot lamp for a while). The burger was actually nice but the coleslaw it came with was the tinniest thimble of slaw and warm (hot light again I suspect). The beef brisket Sunday lunch was overall well presented and tasty but chewy meat. Some of the staff were very good and helpful, but no one came round mid meal asking if everything was ok (which is normally a sign to me that they normally get complaints so stay away). My partner had to go and find someone for a chat and although we did get a refund for the Mac n cheese, the lady was a bit defensive rather. This place is off the list next time we come to Beaumaris, other than drinks, as still a nice venue.

Not a very good experience at all. Went with the family for a meal as locals this was the first time we’d been in since it had changed hands. Firstly The decor wasn’t taking advantage of the location the building is in at all.Secondly the staff didn’t seem very interested in customers and clearly needed additional training as the waitress who took our order didn’t know how to correctly transfer the balance for the food to the card machine which if I hadn’t have spotted would have resulted in us getting charged double. And the assumed to be manager was just walking around with his hands in his pockets like a lost puppy the whole time.Thirdly the food we thought this could have been a redeeming feature but we were wrong on our order there was the pâté and Caesar salad both of which came with stale bread that should never have made it out of the kitchen. Also on our order was the fish and chips, sea bass, burger and mushroom starter non of which impressed us was all very bland and corporate. This is a typical example of when large businesses move to small local areas and completely bulldoze quality and culture yet keep prices high for profit margins. As locals we weren’t impressed, won’t be recommending and won’t be returning.

Visited for lunch, beautiful ambience, and a lovely young man over the counter at the bar who received our order, but every aspect of our lunch went downhill after that. The service from the waiter was horrible, mixed up our order a few times, and bought us items we didn't order. The food wasn't as tasty, and the chips were cold and dry. For the prices of our meal, I wasn't the slightest impressed with the taste or presentation. We weren't provided cutleries, and we had to get this ourselves off other tables. Asked for Ketchup and mayo and was only provided with Ketchup, and the waiter just disappeared without bringing us the Mayo.Overall, it was a terrible service.

Scotch egg was nice. Warm and yolk was soft on the inside. Robert was very nice and welcoming to my family and dog. My dog got a little treat too. The mushroom tagliatelle was not warm enough and tasted ok. My son Had a great time and enjoyed his meal.

We went in for dinner as we thought it looked like a nice pub that did food.It was certainly a nice pub (the Bass was particularly good) but we were completely blown away by the food. Really wasn't expecting that quality of food from a normal" pub. The restaurant at the back was simply amazing. Our starters were fish cake and ham hock

We were staying Beaumaris and decided to eat at the Bull's Head Inn. We chose the bar area rather than the restaurant. Tom was behind the bar and was really friendly and helpful. We had the shepherds pie one night and on the second night I had the burger and my wife had the fish and chips. On both nights the food was fantastic. We spoke to Jacqui about staying the next time we are out there and there are some fantastic deals. Will defiantly be back.

Lovely greeting from the young lady behind the bar and a dog friendly place. The food was disappointing in the fact that everyones chips were like leather on the outside and cold. The 10 oz gammon was thin and dry. We returned the chips and gammon, expecting the cook to be embarrassed and serve up what the price reflected. Chef made no effort and returned cold leathery chips with a slightly better gammon. We spent £185 and would not recommend this particular bar. Reply's to reviews promise they will take on board your comments. Clearly not. I recommend a new chef!

Good clean well decorated rooms with air conditioning. Breakfast was good though tables are rather small. The only downside is parking which is very much hit and miss. Local knowledge is useful as parking restrictions vary seasonally.

A really great place for a drink or meal. The old pub has beeb retained and the restaurant they have added is very chic. The food is great and a good selection of beers, the old hotel lounge has been refurbished to a classy artistic style. Staff were great. Looking forward to my next visit.
