Tewkesbury Battlefield

Absolutely fantastic day!! Lovely to see old friends sad news about others. The battle was incredible and great to be there this year on the other side of the rope to take pictures and see it from the crowds perspective but missed being amongst the fighting.

Great day out!We all enjoyed it loads! Cool re-enactments, very very well thought out and entertaining stalls and a marketplace.Food choices were good with some sensible options and the beer and cider were decent without anything being massively overpriced. Well worth it - a lot of history here and an excellent way to learn.Adam :)

Interesting area to walk with a 'Battle Trail' and information about the historical battle. Weather hasn't been good recently leading to local flooding. This facilitated some good flora and fauna photos reflecting off the standing flood water.

This was my first year visiting the medieval festival and I really wish I had done sooner. So we'll put together. Parking was easy witht the parking Marshall's directing people where to go.Loved wandering through the tented village where all the re-enactors lived for the weekend. People were really friendly.We then went though to the shopping part. What a great variety of stalls. Where else can you buy anything from a tarot card reading to full armour, crystals and ice-cream.We watched a excellent drumming band they were awesome. Then watched the battle being re-enacted. Very well commentated and full credit to the soldiers it was a blistering hot day.Will definetely visit again next year.

I love this event, we attended in 2016 aswell. Unfortunately that year, my partner failed to video me going up for the falcon event, he hadn't set the video properly, I was most upset! There so much on offer here, battle re-enactments, market stalls, dancing, historic tents, bows and arrows, refreshments, the list goes on. It's fabulous and the whole village gets involved. My only suggestion would be for more food and drink choices with covered seating areas. I know a lot of people had to leave due to the heat and no shelter. Absolutely fabulous though and will definitely be a regular visitor.

If you love all things Mediavel and living history this is the place to visit! Lots of amazing stalls to look at and spend money in!! It's free to go in, just pay £5.00 to park the car. Lots of food stalls around as well. The battle is 're enacted which is good to watch.

Wonderful area to explore and great for families. Area steeped in history with some great walks and wildlife reserve heading towards Rivers Severn and Avon. Annual medieval fair is usually mid July- brilliant with the battle 're enactment staged in full costume. Plenty of medieval stalls tents and crafts is a sight to be seen. Best free event we've been to. Gets better every year!!

A perfect place to be - great medieval festival.

There is quite a bit of history. Totally reliant on the well kept notice boards and trail markers providing all the information unless you turn up for the battle reenactments, which brings it to life.
