I get my first cbt from Edinburgh motorcycle academy and it is a great experience.I am totally a newbie for motorcycle with small experience for e-scooters before. I always feel nervous after making the decision of doing cbt in the UK as I do worry about if I can do well.Kris is my instructor and he is a strong and tough Scottish man. This is my first impression on him. I thought this learning is gonna be painful as I did get a lot of criticism when taking my driving license in China.However, things are out of my expectations and it turns out that I enjoy the time of cbt.Kris is really professional and patient. You never know that a tough man can soften his voice barely to guide you how to ride motorcycle. It takes me really a long time to properly do the U turn as the clutch control is really hard. Kris never even shows that he is reluctant to demonstrate it again and again, which I truly appreciate. To get me a better understanding of U turn, as I have spent hours of doing it, he asked me to sit behind the bike so that I can watch how he did it and it is the starting point of the development of my skills. He always like to give examples of why or how to ride the motor safely. With his explanation and patient guidance, I finally get the cbt.One thing that makes me confident for riding the motorbike in the uk as a foreigner is that Kris always like to ask random traffic questions when we are doing training and it makes me know rules well. He is truly responsible as he could just get me the cbt and do more people. However, it takes 2 entire days from 9 to 5 and a half day from 1pm to 4pm to actually finish my cbt. I am surprised that there is no extra cost for it and luckily I take my cbt here.Trust me, I don’t know what is called the best experience. However, as a newbie of motorbike and also an international student who has little knowledge about uk traffic rules, Kris has done a great job and it is always a pleasure to take his course.

Kris's a peppy instructor and has got ton of patience, loves his job and makes sure you enjoy the training. Academy operates at Harley-Kawasaki premises near Hermiston Gate retail park. Highly recommended.
