Marino Fish Bar - Sittingbourne
Ordered a medium. Cod and small chips...they've hid that they didn't have enough chips and put the cod on top. This isn't even a half a portion as it fits in a quarter of the box! Shame on you marinos. Usually quality f&c but this is not good service - especially for the price.To reply to Marinos:I completely understand that prices have risen, but this is not a full portion of small chips....like stated above - I believe its because they did not have enough chips to fulfill all the orders coming in. Not shown - but they gave me a small battered fish on top of this cod as they also clearly didn't have any medium sized cods left.

Excellent fish and chips especially the Haddock. If you're not a big eater be warned the chip portions are enormous. Three of us had medium Haddock each and one medium chips to share which was plenty.

Edit: 12.8.23;Had Marino’s fish and chips on the 12th August and they have gone downhill in my opinion. If this is what they deem acceptable, we’ll I don’t know.(See photo(s).We DID get a refund!Edit: 28.3.23;Not using so much nowadays. Not enjoying the oily batter on the fish.ORIGINAL REVIEW: I like Marino's food and it's team. Always friendly and always good food.

Wow what a fantastic Fish and Chip restaurant this is. Sittingbourne has some dire places to eat, however this one stands head and shoulders above the rest. It's a little on the pricey side but the service was excellent and the food was superb too. 5 stars from me.

We absolutely love it at Marinos and come here regularly. Service is always so welcoming and friendly. Food never lets us down! We had an amazing Greek Kebab platter, definitely recommend! Great value too

Marino Fish Bar - Sittingbourne
We visited today which is a Monday night at around 4:30. It was quiet in the restaurant but we were well looked after. There was an extensive menu and a specials board. We had a cod and chips, bacon loaded chips and a fish bites for DD. Food arrived promptly and was well cooked. All plates were clear at the end. The loaded chips were amazing, I highly recommend. The restaurant and toilets were lovely and clean. We'll definitely be back.

Food was delicious. I do not believe it was real cod. We ordered Cod and chips. Not sure what fish they are selling but it wasn't cod. Was good though.

I asked if they would fry me afresh small cod and the lady said yes sure. I went away for 5 minutes, came back and she handed me the box straight away. I thought it would of taken more than 5 minutes to fry a piece of cod but I didn't say anything. When I drove home(5 minutes away)and tasted the cod it was no way freshly fried, I certainly know what a piece of cod tastes like when it's just come out the frier, it had been sitting in the display cabinet for some time in my opinion. The batter was soft and soggy and it wasn't hot like when cod IS freshly fried. If your not prepared to fry it fresh for me just say so please. When the cod is fried fresh I have no complaints but when it's been sitting there for some time in the display cabinet it's not pleasant atall. Not satisfied on this occasion.
