Well, this is a bit late in getting written but it has been bubbling around in my head for so long. We just simply couldn’t not write a review for this wonderful cottage and great host.My (then) Girlfriend and I hired a car and spent an amazing week in the cottage just after Christmas and over Hogmanay. I surprised her with the trip and then by proposing at the bells. She said yes .My fiancé and I always speak about this place and have such lovely memories there. The drive there was fantastic, the location is so scenic and you feel like you could be a million miles away at times. It is literally a walk to the end of the long drive (5 mins) to get to a very beautiful and secluded beach surrounded by hills and wildlife. The stars at night are insane, it is like they are 20% bigger and more vibrant. My other half isn’t even bothered about space (I don’t know how) but even she was taken aback by how much you could see.Annie was such a great host. She met us when we arrived, had the log fire burning and had even put up a Christmas tree for us – the cottage was stunning to walk into. It felt immediately homely and like it was ours. We were welcomed with a basket of goodies too. Annie showed us around the place and we had a quick chat and then we were very much left to our own devices which is exactly what we wanted. To be left alone and relax – bliss.So much to do around the area. Definitely advisable to take a car to explore as much as possible.
