We spent 5 days at this beautiful spot and had a great time. It was very quiet when we were here so great for the kids to run about and explore, though I'm not sure how much fun they would have when it's packed in the summer. Andrew is a great host and super helpful.. Site spots had everything we needed and fantastic views. Lots of nice walks etc. My only negative was all the extra charges... showers are charged at 50p for 5 mins; we had family visit us for 2 hours and they were charged £7.50.. I've never been charged these things before, but that said, the site was about £23 per night, which is great value for money, so prob evens out.. overall, a great spot for families and we would def come back!

We have been to this site since starting caravanning last year on several occasions despite living locally. Although just down the road, you could be anywhere with fantastic views and spacious pitches. There is plenty of room with a car, caravan and awning and the layout of the site (even on a Bank Holiday Weekend) you can still feel the space. Pitches are not overlooked and we like the pitches overlooking the fields. The site is well maintained and the shower block is always clean whatever time of day.The warden and staff are visible, friendly and welcoming informing you of events taking place locally. Plenty of walks nearby and information is available to give you ideas of where to go and visit.Site is secure and well managed with all amenities needed for a relaxing and peaceful break. This is a countryside, rural site and not slot machines and discos but offers a friendly and personable touch which as a family we fully appreciate. We will definitely be returning to this site and would have no hesitation in recommending to others.

DISGUSTINGThe location is absolutely beautiful! However as soon as we arrived we were discriminated for being ‘young’. We wasn’t welcomed. In fact, the owner stated “we don’t normally accept you people”. Even though we are family , live locally and just wanted to test out our new tent before we started travelling. All weekend the owners kept asking us if we were drinking, actually he said “on piss” which I think is quite rude. Even though we don’t drink and even if we did that is allowed as we are all over the age of 21.The owners were arrogant, cocky and completely rude to us.When we left we took pictures of the pitch where we stayed. On a whole we felt extremely uncomfortable and that’s a polite way of putting it. Unfortunately we would NEVER come here again. We are taking this further and reporting you. When explaining how I felt to the owner she threatened me on the phone.I also ask that you delete your comment on an other review as you have put my name on there which is a breach of GDPR guidelines.

Lovely site, it's a decent size in a lovely location. Clean and family friendly. I took my little boy there and he loved it so much. It was a short walk to two different reservoirs, there was horses on site, clean hot showers and toilet facilities. Rules to keep the noise at bay. But to be honest the best part of it for me was driving to and from the campsite along the most beautiful route (I drove north to south). It's absolutely breathtaking. I'm definitely going again.

The location was good. However when we arrived we were accused of just wanting “to go on piss” as soon as we arrived at the main office we were not welcomed and warned straight away just because of our ages. Every time one of us went down for a shower or went to go on a walk we were one again accused of “going on piss” it made it very awkward and made us feel unwanted and uncomfortable.

Our second visit, won't be our last. Lovely big camping field with plenty of personal space. Toilets and showers spotless. Reception with few goods for sale and nice Mr Whippy. Warden is very friendly and helpful. Lovely walks and so very peaceful. Pizzas were delicious on Saturday from the visiting pizza van.Really enjoyed our weekend break. Thank you.

Nice site, but the staff are quite strict and not very friendly. I came as a visitor of a friend who was on a pitch. I was quite happy to pay the fees required, but the attitude facing me as the warden did not know about visit was like being put in front of the headmaster. We had a bbq later that evening after eating the coals flared up, the warden accused us of having a fire pit and we were asked to put it out which we did.My issue is the not so pleasant naster in which we were treated. We are all over 50 and not a bunch if 20 year old kids causing trouble.Customer service and being polite will all help you get repeat custom, being aggressive and singling out people to have a go at won't!Pitty ge didn't do his job to other campers not following the rule and still being noisy after 10pm.
