Sweet Bakes Manchester

I was given the gift of afternoon tea for 2" off my cousin recently so my son and I had this today at Sweet Bakes. It was delicious! A choice of sandwiches and then yummy cakes and trifles. The staff are fabulous! Really friendly and helpful. Thank you! we'll be back!"

I've eaten here twice (savoury food, can't comment on the sweet food). I'm flexitarian so I was excited to see a place in Ashton that offers vegan food. I've had a vegan burger and it was OK, bit pricey (£6, £8 with chips) which they explained to me was because vegan burgers are expensive, which is true but the price is comparative to some really excellent vegan places in Manchester city centre yet the quality isn't. Not bad, just OK.Second time I had a veggie breakfast. It took half an hour which is a bit long and they kept changing their mind on what ingredients were available or not available. The veggie sausages turned out to be those awful mashed up vegetables formed into a sausage shape (whatever happened to a good Linda McCartney?) and the mushrooms were scant. For £5 I was disappointed.The staff are always very nice and the decor is pleasant, so it's a shame I've not had the best experience. It's one of the pricier places to eat in Ashton which wouldn't be an issue if the quality made up for it, but it's really just OK. However I can't comment on the sweet food which I imagine is more the focus of the place considering the cafe name.

I went in for a Milkshake and was back the next Day for two box's of Donuts. Great quality treats and an outstanding service. Im impressed at how popular the store is as its a newly opened shop. Would definitely recommend

I placed an order with them at 11pm on Deliveroo for a late night treat - they were open and accepting orders so I thought why not. But after over an hour of no show still I called up multiple times to no answer. Why accept orders if you can't deliver them? Waste of money and time
