KickFit Martial Arts schools - Reading

They have built up the personality of my son who has started with them when he was 5y.o. And is now a Junior black belt who has saved himself from many attacks by applying what he learnt. Great education for all children

Started training about a year ago and it was the best thing I ever did! Everyone was very welcoming which is great for anyone starting out in any martial art.Mr parks is an excellent teacher and equips you with the knowledge, drive and desire to keep you coming back week after week. Would highly recommend anyone to join the kickfit family!

Kickfit is very good and you can learn a lot and to get fit.

My daughter absolutely loves her KickFit family. She started 9 months ago and has progressed to green belt. She has grown in confidence and strength massively since joining, and is even wanting to sign up for the junior instructor programme to help younger students. She absolutely loves her teacher Shihan Parks and will continue her journey with KickFit for a long time coming.

Have taken part since late 2008 & have never regretted it. You will learn a wide range of moves & forms from Mr Parks, a black belt expert.

My son has trained with this school since he was five. He's now 12 and still enjoys all the classes which provide a focus on fitness as well as technique. He also enjoys the different disciplines that are taught. The instructors have a good rapport with all students even whilst putting them through their press ups. It's a friendly and welcoming place.

We wanted a martial arts class locally in Reading for our son, aged 6 at the time, as a sporting activity that he could progress with while also helping to build confidence and traditional virtues such as respect and courtesy. My wife researched several classes in our area, but we both agreed that KickFit seemed to best fit our expectations. From his first class in a white suit that seemed to dwarf him, through to 4 years later, we have never had any cause to regret our choice!The instructor, 4th Dan Black Belt Mr Richard Parks, makes every class challenging but fun, and his enthuasiasm for the Martial Arts shines through in every lesson and is infectious for all in his class.The school blends traditional Tae-Kwon-Do with Kenpo Karate, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Thai Kick-boxing and Escrima from the Philippines; I believe that this helps with making the lessons more varied, and definitely helps with keeping young children more interested in the long term. The school also prides itself with teaching martial arts as a self-defence, and classes are taught such topics as Stranger Danger, situation avoidance, and anti-bullying advice as standard; as a parent this is a very big part of why we chose KickFit in the first place!When we saw how much our son was enjoying classes and what he was getting from them, both my wife and myself joined, and Kickfit Martial Arts school now forms a very fulfilling part of all of our lives. Our own general fitness, stamina and flexibility has definitely improved, but more than that we get a vast amount of enjoyment of training with people who just love being there so much!

Thanks to KickFit my daughter and I have become fitter than ever and after 4 years of challenging but fun training have recently earned our Black Belts.
